Last June we got the chance to take a bunch of underprivileged kids out on the lake for a day. They call the event "Wake the World" and it was started by a World Champion Wakeboarder. These events have quickly spread to a number of states. Tennessee, Alabama, and Texas just to name a few. All you have to do is show up with your boat and a full tank of gas and have fun. We taught the kids how to wakeboard, tube, ski, surf, etc. Many of them had never even been on a boat! The Alabama one is June 25th on Smith Lake. They are up to 10 boats and could use a few more as there will be 30-40 kids this year. So if you can help out on Monday the 25th of June (I guarantee its better than going to work) let me know.
