We have a lot of folks that visit our park running 4 cylinder rigs. Is there enough interest out there for us to put together a competition for you? It needs to be simple.....other than safety the only requirement would be a 4 cylinder engine. If there is enough interest.....lets hear it.

You can count me in Tom loller.gif I wheel a samurai buggy with all Toyota drivetrain. I don't care how much or what type of event as long as it's a equal field.

Yep.

Me and 3 other wheelin buddies all run 4cyl Toyotas on 37/38" tires.

Capable rigs, but no way we can compete on the "bounty hills" (that are more suited for extended swingarm dirtbikes or chaindrive rails than a "rock buggy")

How about a 4&6 cyl mixed class? Mostly stock rigs like an "entry level" class? Could be fun? My 4.slow is about the same power level as a law mower...

Equal. A MILD turbo ecotec 4 makes 300hp..... a 1.6 on pane makes 48

There will never be such thing as an "equal" field.

A bone stock 5.3 "LS" truck motor makes 300 hp also, plus 50% more torque than a turbo ecotec,

How many rigs with turbo ecotecs are running around that aren't WEROCK style comp crawlers, or on Toyota axles?

Not many yet, and 15% more torque... at it's best. Ecotecs love boost

Sorry for the derail, but useless fun fact: Which has made more horsepower and a quicker 1/4 mile a stock 2.0(bore&stroke) production ecotec block or any size factory ls block?

2.0 FTW by over a full second and 500hp :****:

hmmm...

I looked up some specs on factory turbo EcoTecs, the first gen turbo eco tecs make 260 lb-ft and the new ones are up to 295 lb-ft.

Pretty impressive, especially for OEM spec/tune with all emissions junk in place!

Oh if I could only find a wrecked Saturn Sky Redline or Pontiac Solstice GXP :****:

if this "class" would stay limited to N/A zuk 1.3 1.6 toy 20r and 22r and 2.5 jeep and require some factory frame rail it'd be awesome.

a true cheap class, horsepower would be non existent and fun level would be epic.

guess it could be called the "No-Pow class"
