Sold/Expired 1996 LEXUS Lx450, LOCKED & LOADED

Have you ever wanted to go wheeling with at least 5 of your buddies? In a Lexus? With the a/c on?
This has been my daily driver/weekend warrior for the last 3.5 years

1996 Lexus Lx450
151,000 miles
Factory Electric lockers front & rear
Only 14,000 made total, approx 2,000 had lockers
A/C, Heat, Sunroof, & all 6 windows work.
4 inches of lift with 60-70% tread 37in MT/Rs
Locking Tuffy console with Army Strong Cobra 29 CB

Dependable as the sunrise, but does have engine oil leaks (it holds 8 qts, a drop or ten here & there wont hurt it :**** , a leaky front axle, a candy striped rear driveshaft, and one mixmatched wheel
The clear has peeled almost completely of the top of the roof, top of fenders, flares, & hood, & hood is badly dented. Also have busted lamps on the left front and a bent antenna.

Has a very nice 3/16 plate rear bumper with quarter protection, sliders, & a tranny/tcase skid built using a .188 wall Dom crossmember, .120 wall loops, & plate. I love the look of these with the factory bumper corners & step boards, & will include them with the sell, but you can't really take them wheeling & not expect them to get destroyed, so they are off

These vehicles sell for $6000 with 300,000 miles without lockers. A nice one with 151k miles will bring 10-14k easy.
The interior is still in really good shape minus the front seat.

I don't want to sell this, but playing daddy daycare & financing a divorce has caused some changes in my life.

I drive it 5-6 times a year an hour or two to parks, wheel all day, & drive it home... I also drive is about 25 miles a week so mileage will go up

It really is a great price for a capable dual locked daily driver. I wish I could have it.

To put how much these things are actually worth into prospective: I parted out a Lx450 with NO engine, trans, or tcase, that was totaled in the front end, all the seats were ripped, and the rear axle was badly bent for more than I am asking for this one :****:

I think so too, but the paint on the top of all the panels is in real rough shape now & those folks are picky.

Although I drive this everyday, it is best suited for shorter trips (10mpg & no sway bars) and weekend wheeling. I will include both sway bars if someone is interested

My brother and I had talked about getting some of these and doing some overland camping with the kids. Its very tempting but every time I think more about it I think how how little time I have to actually take off and do something like that. I also think about how hard it is to schedule our two families together and realize that it would just sit in my driveway and rot for the most part. GLWS. Nice rig.
