wow looking real nice! Some of the nicest fab work I've seen including some flat biller rigs on display at KOH a few years back.

Slow shop week, extra busy with my paying job, lol.

Did find a cooler and a place for it, also received my Mac's tire strap. Secured the hood prop on the inner fender, no rattles.

Also got the DSC adjusters on the shocks and a base shim pack tune installed last night and today. Still have to make mounting tabs for the reservoirs.

Sorry for lack of updates of recent.

Real life has me rolling past couple weeks. 2 work trucks, 2 replacement engines, son's Honda accord-currently putting second of two engines in this week. And icing on the cake... cracked a rib working on one of my f450 work trucks while replacing the motor... Not fun.

On a good note, attending a two day tig welding seminar (30 participants) this weekend with true master Michael Furick, of DOG Fabrication and Design in Mooresville, N.C. Creator and proprietor of the MFurick gas cups for tig welding. Seminar is specializing in motorsports tig welding of steel and aluminum. Tubing and sheet primarily.

Anyway, hope to be back in my shop next week, not replacing motors, and working on the Comanche. Thanks for staying tuned guys.

... finally a little bit of regular shop time today... just a little... so I did some little stuff that I could complete in little time... every little bit helps...

...front shock reservoir tabs made and finished...

...factory hood latch cable rerouted, ran through firewall and temporarily mounted in kick panel til pedals are hung...

... air filter elbow installed and filter attached...

...little stuff...

Glad to see you not take the easy route and throw cheap Vato Zone hood pins at it. :dblthumb:

I absolutely love your work. Those fender liners would look freaking sweet on the front of my 68 Tow rig......

Hve any tips to cutting the aluminum panels?
Use quite a few tools. Plasma usually to rough it out- I've had really good luck with a steady hand that gives me a very straight line with the plasma and a straight edge... although not as easy as it sounds. Other tools I use are the Milwaukee shear, bosch shear for curves, and most recently purchased the Eastwood Beverly... which is really useful... and a plethora of cut off dies, tin snips, etc, then clean up the straight edge with a DA sander.

On any type metal I cut I use a scribe with straight edge to get a crisp line to sand/grind to. When you get to 'zero' edge, you can see it peel up on the scribe mark ever so slightly... makes for a good straight sight line.

Fantastic clean work as usual! After seeing your last rig and now this one, I feel like you are one of the best at utilizing every little bit of space.

I'm curious though, when you form something such as the lid for your rear storage, how do you make the final 2 bends on the lip that overlaps the box? Like, I understand that the first 2 are easy where the brake can go past the ends of the material but the other 2, it seems to me, the brake would have to be exactly the same length as the bend. Hopefully that makes sense.
