1968 Dodge D200 Mega Cab Tow rig *(Possibly for sale)*

Trying to get the bed finished up and ready for paint and line-x. What do y'all think about the rear tube work of the bed. Leave the top open or plate it flush like the bedsides?

My vote is to leave it open, therefore allowing you to use them as tie down points in the future.

if its a big enough gap for your hand to fit, leave it open, if not, close it up.
Not completely but not small enough to actually pinch anything. I was building it with the intentions of plating the top just like the side rails but after doing the tube its growing on me leaving it open. Ill clean it up a little today and see how it looks dressed up.

I've wondered this myself. I seen the same body style truck sitting on a new style chassis just like this one on Instagram one on Instagram one day and thought it might be the same one.

Not hardly. We got swamped at my body shop and then the Hail storm hit. I had to move it and my 36 Plymouth I'm also building to my shop at home. I haven't made it home before 8pm in a while so neither have been touched in a while

Hail is good for business but not for personal projects. Also have a baby due in the next 2 weeks.

Plymouth had been taking up a lot of my time as well. 1936 coupe Full steel car, corvette suspension front and rear, all aluminum ls1,14l60e. Should be a fun car when finished.

it actually belongs to my Father-in-law. He bought it brand new off the showroom floor in 1979. It gets driven some but not a ton.
