Iron Duck Fab #8 my buggy build

Jason does killer work. Couldn't be happier with it

I've been going back and fourth on the colors but most recently thinking about a gray like this jk and gold wheels. Then the skins darker gray

Robbie needed his one night at Chocco on a parts run. LOL

Yeah that thing comes in handy almost every trip.

Lots more done. Starting to get an idea what it will look like. Having Jason as the builder is awesome, he makes this stuff look easy.

Now just working on wiring and a few other odds and ends then it'll be off to the tuner.

Got to drive it last weekend. Got everything done just have to loom the harness when I take it back apart for coating. I dropped it off at the tuner the other day, should be able to pick it up when I get back in town next week. I'm hoping to have it all to the powdercoated by the end of next week.

Got it tuned last week but it'll need some more tweaking when I put everything back together. Put studs in the rear axle and 4340 shafts. Resealing both diff covers since they've been leaking for a year. Big regret doing the shave covers.

Everything went to the powder coater and exhaust to the ceramic coater yesterday.

I'm back out of town for work today everything should be ready to pick up when I get back.

That turned out badass. I got some lube locker diff seals, had them on a few buggies. I had my old buggy covers off several times, and never had one leak. They are about$20 on Amazon

Finished this up the other day and took it wheeling. Super happy with it. Some adjusting to do on the tuning overall it's great.

Do you know if anyone sells one for a shaved 14b (13 bolt) ?

And Robbie, did yours start leaking after you did the shave kits?

I'm not sure on a shaved 14. I will see what I can find out today.

I've never seen an issue with leaking after doing a "13 bolt" i.e. just cutting the bottom lip/bolt and tossing on a HD cover. The leaking is usually associated with doing the full shave/weld kits. I really don't think those are worth the trouble IMO.

I'll jinx myself but after the first ride they aren't leaking. I only had 2 rides on the axles when I took it apart for the buggy, then they leaked for the 1.5 yrs that they sat. I re sealed them and switched to regular bolts insead of cap screws this time. I think the bottom of the housing is too thin with the 13 bolt deal if I could do over I'd keep that bottom bolt hole.
