Commenting in a tech and fab thread got me thinking about the cars that got away, the ones I'd give double book value to have back. I've had probably 50+ cars since the Monte Carlo, so this will be tough and will probably change as the day goes...

1- '77 F250 "Big Nasty"
2- '80 Subaru Brat 4th car
3- '79 Celica GT 3rd car
4- '82 Mustang notch, badass dirt 4cyl motor, 2nd car
5- '79 Monte Carlo t-top, SBC, first car
Screw it, top 7-
6- '79 Toyota 2wd, 20R, old mag Torque Thrusts, spray bomb black. 5th car, 1st truck
7- '73 F100, black on black, 390 and C6 that Patrick built to hell and back. It was BAD, but sucked ass to DD. lol
And honorable mention, was my wife's DD- '06 Mazda 6 Sport, fast, fun, good mpg, and in 4 years we didn't have to do **** to that car but oil changes and put 1 battery in it. Only car we've ever had that we didn't have to work on it.

What's your top 5?

Only one

73 Road Runner, 440, 727, Dana 60 with 4.10, Forest Green Imron paint........The SOB I sold it too got into a double hit and run and totaled it in less than a week......Dam I miss that car even 30+ years later.

2004 Mustang Gt sold it to have a down payment on my house
1993 jeep grand Cherokee 1st car lots of memories in that POS

I wish I never woulda got rid of any of my Broncos, but my orange 79 was my favorite, my 85 had the best memories, I've had prob 10 Broncos and most were 79's, I will own another one to dd again one day
Edit. My 67 fairlane is probably my favorite, car was from Hawaii and no heater or Ac, had a 289, would love to have another

I had a 78 that started out cherry, but Patrick talked me into taking it to the woods. The rest is history.

Peer pressure lol. A good clean bronco up here brings a pretty penny, this was one of my mud trucks

82' Jeep Scrambler on 35" Boggers. Straight, solid and great shape. Sold to buy my current Jeep.
88' Toyota 2wd regular cab pickup. Ugly but man I loved that little truck. Great gas mileage and comfortable. A/C and heat were great. Could park it at Walmart with windows down and nobody would mess with it. Always told my wife it looked so bad the panhandlers would give me money.
95' Wrangler that I also sold to buy current Jeep. Just really liked it and was a good driver.

Got several I wonder what they look like now but don't really miss them. I always took pristine care of my vehicles and hate to see others that don't think the same way.

I gotta admit that songs be stuck in my head all afternoon after seeing that title.

Mike knows that, that's why he titled the thread that way. He is sitting in his office is his wide leg polyester slacks, big collared shirt and Burt Reynolds's mustache reading this threat ROTFLOL out loud in the floor while his Hall and Oates plays in the background.

I know, I know.......

I've owned over 50 vehicles but here's my top 5:

1970 Buick wagon with a 455 (First car and one of the few things my dad gave me)
1976 Cutlass 442 with swivel bucket seats
1980 Malibu (First car I kind of restored with new engine and paint)
1972 Chevelle (Took 9 years to restore and sold it a year later so my first wife wouldn't get any of it during the divorce)
1970 Camaro (Original Hugger orange split bumper with a nice small block)

This is main reason I've never sold my yota...the fear of regretting it. It was my first pickup I have had it since pretty much the day I turned 15 and I'm 32 now
