Patrick don't get the brand Spyder, I've had 2 sets and both were junk. They look nice but the lights would go out in less than a year.

Seems like a decent price to get new housings, bulbs, etc but wanted to ask others opinions on here before going further.

Finally got around to updating this thread. As much as I wanted to spend money on the Sport Headlight and wiring Harness conversions (cheapest options were around $350.00 total), for a truck that will get driven around 5k miles a year it was hard to justify that much expense.

So I ended up buying replacement Headlight Assemblies from RockAuto ($100.00 for pair) and LED bulbs from Amazon (was $60.00 at the time, but now $50.00). The bulbs were recommended by fellow Hardline member GreenBean Fab.

The bulbs were direct plug and play with the factory Dodge wiring and have no flashing/pulsing etc that LED's typically have when retrofitted. Also these bulbs have a built in fan vs having the heat exchangers flopping around behind the assemblies.

Only two negatives so far.
1) The assemblies from RockAuto required a ton of adjustment to get the lights in the right spot. I didn't compare the adjusters on the stock assemblies to the RockAuto assemblies before installation, so that was on me.

2) With the LED bulbs, there is very little difference between Hi/Low Beams now. Which honestly isn't an issue to me since the LED's + assemblies are so much brighter

So with the pictures out of the way, for a total of $160.00 bucks I have new Headlight Assemblies, Turn/Marker Signals, and mounting hardware, plus super bright LED headlights. Curious to see how these things hold up in the longer term, but for now I am quite pleased.

how much of the oncoming traffic flashes their lights at you now?

Should have just put a brodozer light bar off the gayzer on it

Not happened yet after several night trips, but then again I have the headlights adjusted way down so that shouldn't happen.

They are much brighter than the originals, but on par with the factory headlights for most newer vehicles with LED bulbs.

Ha that's tempting. Based on some holes in the factory bumper and random wiring that was there, I'd guess the previous owner had one installed up there anyway.

I finally had enough with mine and built some bi-xenon projectors in the aftermarket housing and ran HID's with an adapter harness. This is a night and day difference and it's even better with a set of 55 watt bulbs. I am looking at a better wiring harness than the one I put on mine a year and a half ago. Very cool. How difficult was the Projector Conversion? I read a few threads about that, but didn't feel like going that route.

It wasn't that bad. Next time I do it will heat the lamp assembly on the oven to get it apart and seal it back up. I used the heat gun and got it a little to hot in places. Overall I'm extremely happy with them. I still have the 35 watt bulbs so it's not as bright as I'd like it to be but it's a very consistent beam and it's light years ahead of the stockers.

Cool. Two led flashlights from Tractor Supply are better than the stockers though!

When you get a chance, post some pictures of the lights at night so others can see how they turned out.
