7/8-18 heims?

I would like to replace the tie rod ends that are on my crawler with heims without having to build a new tie rod.

Because it's a "special" thread and not standard fine thread?

Why do you need that

Just curious, what makes this a "Special" Thread....

If they already cut that Thread pitch and the tooling is available what makes it "Special"? GM one ton stuff is probably some of the most common stuff that people use. And i would think that GM Dana 60's are the most commonly used one ton Front axle.

7/8-18 is listed on the bolt charts as "UNS" (unified special), as in it's a special thread for a specialized industry/application/etc, not that it's actually "special" in the traditional sense.

7/8-9 is UNC, 7/8-14 is UNF

There probably is a small market for 7/8-18 heims, but I'd imagine most people would just build another tie rod/drag link if they were swapping from GM TRE to heims
