Drive by wire pedal water proof?

I have a dbw pedal in my buggy and it's not protected from water/dust. Are the pedals water/dust proof? If not what would you recommend to seal it up?

Dbc is not a option

Use 3m 4200 r 5200 to seal the openings never worry about it leaking r coming apart

Ran DBW for 7+ years. I haven't done anything other than hook up and run.

I just replaced mine after trying to troubleshoot some crazy symptoms. It would cut out bad over 5000 rpms and then go into limp mode.
Took 5 years of wheeling and pressure washing to go bad but it did appear to be corrosion that took it out.
