Newbies Post Up Here - Rig Specs & Info Thread

Well this seems to be where all the people I know are hanging out these days so I guess I might as well waste some more time.

My name is J. J., I'm 6'1" and weigh 235 lbs. I have brown hair and a really huge ... oh wait, wrong site ...

Ahem, here's my buggy. I've wheeled with/around most of ya'll before so you probably recognize it. Rockwells, Ouverson shafts in the rear, 42's, 350, TH350, Ford NP205, yada yada yada. I'm collecting parts for a new one right now though as I've beat this one to **** now.

so here we are at river rock and there is this row of tires stood up buried in the ground... well as you can imagine there are alot of attempts, but unless you have a 40"belly you are bottomoing out on the tire, so this leads to a huge hole at the top of the tires... where theres a hole, the is mud... anyways, jj is trying like hell to get up it to no availe and looks to me for a spot... most of you know i can spot a good line and people will take my word for what i say... so back to the story, jj looks and i tell him hard right and floor it... he shakes me off and i tell him again, "trust me dog", all the while trying to keep a strait face... he backs up, i look at the camera guy and say get ready... to say the least he backs up gives it hell hard right and she is getting ****ING COVERED, of course jj being in the heat of the moment doesnt let out while she is screaming to stop... i literally fell out on the ground... everyone, but her, thought it was hilarious....

Thanks. I worked hard when I built it to make it look different and cool. I wish I had the time to build my own chassis these days. If I did I would build it to look almost exactly like my current one only with some reinforcement in key areas. EOR's 321 chassis had a lot fo similar design parameters as mine though which is why i like it and I think that I can build something that functions like my old one using that design. If the 321 wasn't out there though I probably would just bite the bullet and build my own again because I am neurotic about height and there is just no other chassis out there designed to work so well with rockwells.

Wassup folks! I've had a couple of Jeeps in the past, but right now I'm rockin a Rhino and an Xtreme pit bike. I've met several of you before while riding around with Cole. I live in Tuscaloosa and work at Truck Supply and Outfitters. P may remember me from Morris Mountain a couple of years ago when I unloaded the Rhino sideways off the trailer! I also rode in Cole's Fireball at Grey Rock with you guys. I browse through here all the time but am just now registering. So now I'm able to hate on the hater with the rest of you guys! I'll post up some pics of my rides later. I f ya'll have a Hardline Rhino section I may make that. I don't think I can afford any big toys anytime soon!

This was my rig up until about 2 weeks ago.. I got her bone stock, and took her to this over a 5 or 6 year period. I decided it was time to step up to something that did not have body panels on it so that I can run the rest of the trails that I have not been able to.
I actually made this YJ to nice to beat up, and I just could not bring myself to it, so I sold it to someone who would take care of it, and I bought me a buggy.

The YJ was a 94YJ with a Dana 44 up front with warn shafts and CTM's. The rear axle was a Dana 60 with 35 spline chromolly shafts and it was built by WMS.
I took the AX5 trannie out of it, and installed a 904 TF in it, and then hooked an Atlas II 4.3 to it. The axles has 513 gears in it. The rear had a spool, and the front had the lockright.
It had 39.5" Iroks on it with MTR Beadlocks.
The wheelbase was stretched to 105". The tube fenders and rear crusher corners were built by my buddy with alittle help from me.
The power plant in this beast was the almighty 4 cylinder. It got the job done, and it would crawl with the best of them.
