Gotta admit that even as a Chevy guy I'm not too excited about the new ones.

I think the industry is headed back to gas burners for the 3/4 ton "hobby class" folks (like me) that only really need a diesel periodically...

If they can get the empty fuel mileage up, it would drive folks to buying gas more, IMO.  I think ppl buy diesel because they believe it will get better mileage with more power.

Agreed, however not by much. I drive a slightly modded 07 Duramax and average 16 mpg in town, 21 on the interstate unloaded, and roughly 10--12 while towing. Diesel costs $3 per gallon, gas guys pay $2. If a gas truck get 14 mpg the cost to operate is still cheaper when you figure in purchase price, maintenance, etc.

For me and my truck needs its getting harder and harder to justify owning a diesel...

That v6 eco boost is a impressive truck and totally whips a 5.0’s ass.  Don’t see why ford don’t build a v8 version of the eco boost
I have 2 diesels and been considering a gas truck for cruising around but damn a new truck is higher than angel snatch

I want a 1/2 ton to piddle around in and dd but yeah i'm with you. People are fucking retarded for what they want for one. And a new diesel is insane too. Used cars are just going up and it's super frustrating.
