Why deer flats road should open

This was kind of my point Scott. The purpose of the forest watch is to educate people. We get the information from the DNR and spread it to others. If forest watch has bad info then EVERYONE will have bad info.....

I can't even find the info for the general public--whats going to be what.

If you recall the DNR was supposed to make a official anouncement about the June 20th opening. I don't think this ever happened......Maybe they're having second thoughts? Doubt it but we can hope.

After talking to Mark Mauren this morning I'm willing to bet they are banking on us changing CPL's mind about opening it. :;

Ya I recall that and thats what I can't find.

Will see what happens at the meeting on thursday with Goldmark :awesomework:

I have the handouts we were given from David but I can't attach them. They're PDF so photo bucket doesn't work either.

Thats fine and dandy--but how will the general public know and easily find the info thats on the handouts?

Supposedly they're public info on the DNR web site. I haven't looked for them in there as they're probably buried.....Still the general public won't look for them there. I think the DNR is banking on us getting the word out.

I caught another rig in there today. So I closed the upper staging area road with eco blocks today

saw 2 people racing around the lower pit, Ask then nicely to leave

caught someone shooting by deer flats road, They picked up there mess and left
I picked up a garbage bag of cans

BPA hasn't put the gates in yet

Shooting is OK if they're far enough up the road and don't leave behind a mess......Why does she want to open on the 19th?

Shooting is not permitted in the area. It is posted

Forest watch rule number one ( know what the rules are and signs say in the area that you are watching) and I didn't even take the training

Have no clue why the 19th " I think that is stupid "

Now who's uninformed?..I assure you shooting IS permitted at Reiter. There are a few stipulations though. First there is a buffer from Reiter road though I don't remember right off hand how far. Second shooting must be done safely and third no messes.....

It is posted at the lower pit, Middle road and at the entrance to deer flats road

PLEASE .....................

We talked about shooting on DNR lands at the last Elbe meeting. According to Nancy it is permitted but you must have a earthen hillside as your backdrop. Shooting at a stump in a clearcut or in the woods is not allowed. Shooting across a road or trail is not allowed. Not cleaning up after yourself is not allowed.
