so i'm trying to cut my toyota apart asap. My buddy has a thermaldynamics cutmaster 51. Is it possible, for me to create a conversion plug from my 220v setup for my mm175 to this machine without fawking something up? Grounds, and whatnot... ???.

Sorry, I know nothing really about wiring and whatnot, and just want to go to platt and buy some **** to make this work without burning my house down, or messing up his rather expensive machine.

I really appreciate any help. Thanks!

220v plasma? That would depend on what kind of plug is on each unit and if your circuit can handle the load.

Just match the welder plug and the new one you are going to use on the plasma. The ground is the important one.

BTW I have that same plasma cutter and love it.

ya im pretty sure its 220v. rated for 230v. they differ, but i assume it isnt as simple as just buying the male version of my welder's plug, running some wires to the femal version of the plasma's plug, and playing.

I am affraid it is that simple.

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

im excited to not cut my IFS off with an angle grinder and sawzall hahahah. though it's rated for 230v, it's absolutely compatable with my 220v? i'm stoked to get started now woohoo! thanks for the help, guys.

I edited my post becasue I wasn't sure how you plugged in your welder.......

ohh... um, by that, what do you mean? it's a 220v plug with a ground. 3 prong. ill see if i can take a pic really quick because i'm stupid when it comes to this stuff, maybe a pic will help better than me.

ok here it is... actually it might be he same plug as that plasma now that i think of it.. hmmm.

if wired right. The two flat prongs are hot 110volts x 2 =220volts The third (round) prong is the ground.
