Got it back down on the ground. It sits perfect. Not too tall either.:cool:

WoW great job Brad. Ive seen some people take years on a build and still not wheel it. And they werent lacking money or skill....I should have you look at my 4runner and give me some ideas.:beer::beer::beer:
 
another cheap and capable wheeler. nice work b-rad. looks like it will work great. evan though it dont have portal tech axles, 10 rate coilovers and a atlas 5 thousand lol:awesomework:

like a 2 inch block and shitty driveline angles?

and to answer your question chop shop I would mock up the front and rear suspension and place the sping/shackle hangers in the proper places so the vehicle sits level based on weight and spring rate. not spend a bunch of time on the front then throw a band aid in the rear because i'm doing it for free.

your work is your work whether its paid for or not if you half ass **** you will always be know as a half ass no matter how many compliments your little pee ons give you.

Thats exactly what I didnt want to do.:flipoff: Its so awesome wheeling with your shackle hangers and spring hangers hanging down like anchors.:looser:

You right boss, I should have made the spring hangers hang off of the frame rails 5 inches. That would make for some sweet hangups.:puke:

The driveline angles were fine. The shafts turn smooth and freely and are far from binding at full droop.:awesomework:

I have installed at least 30 sets of chevy springs. I didnt look at pirate for tech on them. I put the first set on the stomper 12 years ago. BEFORE internet wheeling. I roamed around the yards and tried several chevy springs before anyone was doing it. I leaned it all myself, not from speculation from tards like you. I know the ins and outs of these trucks without advice from you.

I dont hang springs for free, tardo. Only steering ram skidders.:kissmyass:

Again the only pee-on giving advice or responding here is you. All the others have been seen in the woods while wheeling. Most of the folks in this thread are above average wheeling enthusiasts that I value an opinion from.

I value your pee-on opinion at nothing. I wouldnt pee on your mouth if it was on fire. Thats what I think of you, pee-on.

I have read this whole thread and found lots ofgood info and ideas. In my opinion anyone who whines about work being done wrong and then compliments you at the end is a douche bag (boss7). awsome work chop shop i would let you work on my pos if you were closer :cool::beer:

I merely pointed out his design flaw in a asshole type of way. he's a self proclaimed asshole so I thought he could take it. guess not because he got all defensive. I guess its a little different for this chop shop person when the shoe is on the other foot.
 
Alright, enough about the spring hangers and driveline angles. Boss7, if you're going to criticize do it in a constructive fashion or you won't be welcome back in the tech section.
 
By the way, Nice looking truck and I dig the "budget build" status... but I would also beef up that ram guard... decent amount of leverage against the thin housing if it gets hit really hard at the right angle. That's me personally.

The owner knows this and is going to plate it in at home. I build for alot of people that can weld and fab, they just dont bend tube or feel good mounting their own springs and steering.

The owner said he would build something to protect the ram. I know he doesnt have a bender and thought, man I could whip up a bar for him in a few minutes. I found a scrap that was long enough to bend one end but not the other, hence the preformed 90. It made a scrap work perfect and it fit better on the diff bulge than a large radius bend that had been cut down to fit. They were stoked when they picked it up and had no problem adding some more steel to the front diff himself.


This truck was not a full build. Just things the owner didnt want to do. They will finish it up just fine. Ill help them if they run into trouble. I like working for guys like Greg and Jeremy. Thanks guys I enjoyed you and your truck!:beer:

I put the builds on here so folks can see they can do it themselves with cheap parts, not KITs. If they are OK DIY fabbers they could follow these like recipes if they want.

Theres always something better, just dont waste your life chasing it, alot of folks will pass you with "just fine" stuff while living life to its fullest.:beer:
