so whos doing elbe for new years? i havent wheeled in a while and ready for some fun. we did it the new years eve last year. think i may do it new years day this time. so who going???

ya that was cold for sure! thinking twice bout camping this time. hows the busy looking lately? i hope its slowly returning to its former glory.

Im thinking about going, i was the one who took your guys parking spot last year. I just picked up a 4runner and im trying to round up some people for the 1st.

**** it was cold up there last NewYears. I had to thaw my boots on my campstove to put them on. Horus' boots froze to the fender on his trailer.

I remember waking up in the morning to discover I had "opened" my tent the night/morning before with my propane torch. It was very cold and very drunk out that night. What a great time.

I may head up for some New Years Eve wheelin during the day but I have a party to go to that night.

New Years day after ur party!!!!:awesomework::beer::puke:

I might come back out for some NWs day action. I've got to reset my "readiness monitors" on the buggy so I can pass emissions and get tabs on it. The rig needs at least 3 minutes of 65 mph too, so I plan on chasing my own tow rig back to Elbe and loading up there. Should be interesting.

I arrived Sunday around 10:00am or so. Once I had the new junk off the trailer I headed up the 9 road by myself. At the Alder loop I discovered I could not shift the rig out of 2 hi, so I kept on going up. When I got to Swamp I tried the t-case again. This is when I noticed my oil pressure gauge was at zero and my check hauges light was on. Turned around at Swamp and headed back to the trailer at a high rate of velocitation. Once back at the trailer I had what I think is an acute exhaust leak. This was to be expected as I had not replaced the corkish collector ring gaskets on the headers yet.

I'm fairly sure the oil pressure sending unit went hoofs up. If the oil pump failed I'd have killed the motor on the way back to the trailer, no doubt.

Loaded up and headed out about 45 minutes after arriving and left just in time to watch the whole response to the shooting incident with the Ranger fly past.

Pull the t-case apart and go through it, install lights, finish exhaust, install stereo and fix leak at the transmission cooler is all I need to get back out there this weekend.

If it makes ya feel any better, my rig puked a fuel pump not long after I seen you. :redneck:
