Anybody ever replaced the headlamp switch separate of the multifunction switch? It shows as a separate part.

So my son gets home last night and the headlamp switch fell out of the multifunction switch and from what I can tell there is a cross pin in the switch thats retains it in the multifunction switch.

Just trying to see if my logic is right.

I had to mess around with my turn signle switch on my 1st gen pickup. A little different but I was able to junk yard part replace some contacts, bend some things to touch better and it worked. But a lot of those little switches you can remove seperately. Just my limited time messing around with the multi stick.

Just a roll pin. The aftermarket switches you usely have to splice into the original connector. Or the ones I have gotten did at least.

I was told there is a screw that holds it down--but the replacement pics I have seen are just that--a roll pin thru the shaft of the switch assy. I gotta get the cover off so I can see the switch.

So ya there is a pin that is pressed into the switch. It simply fell out and I was able to rebuild it and put it back together for nothing and about an hour.

Ya I was happy about that. Granted the starter has been acting up--and it did last night so I gotta throw one in tonight, lol.
