Changed the gasket on my differential and this is what I found. Is this a Lock Rite Locker? If so, is it any good? Should I replace it?

Looks like it to me--but its hard to tell it might be an aussie locker (the slots for the springs are a lil narrower).

Run it if it works..

I think I meant to say, "is it a quality product and should I replace it with something else that may be better?" Not should I replace it because it is broken...........

I have had these hold up to some good torture in a rig before.

if there is any doubt, spend the 20ish bucks and get new springs and put in them, just so that you don't have to worry about any of them being weak.

but other than that... I would run it.

in fact I have a couple sitting in a box that I still have to put in....

I was thinking the opposite---the ones I have done the spring was tighter

Sorry, I should had worded it differant. The first pick is the Aussie. The spring slots are placed differently. The last pick is a Quik-Loc just for info.

they hold up fine up to about 35" tires. then it gets iffy.
if the slip (ratchet) once under power, they are pretty much done for. they will slowly strat to slip more & more until they dont grab at all.
weld it and be done with it if that a rear. run it till it mbreaks if its a front end.
