That's exactly what I had in mind as well. Stretch it to the same tub length as an LJ, but do all of the stretching in front of the rear tires so you have the stock TJ overhang. I think it would look PERFECT.

Is there what looks like a sleeve on the longside axle tube?
When you say it's noisy on the road, you're just referring to the engine screaming, tires roaring, soft top flapping, and lack of insulation I assume >:D
