    Where to get regeared

For the half the price of someone setting up my axles, I'm in the process of setting up my own. It is time consuming for the first time, but now that I know what I'm doing, the front axle will go a lot quicker. It's really not that hard of a job, the price in either tools and personal labor...

My Ford! My Ford! My Ford! part 2

When I put JBA shorty headers on my 351W I gained some MPGs. Went from 10ish to 13.5ish How hard was replacing the headliner and the seat foam? Those are on the to-do list for me. Also, how well do those LEDs dim for you? The lights behind my dash are on their way out, slowly, and one by...

    Concentric Slave Cylinder repair?

Thanks I had contacted these guys last week. They told me they could get me the slave cylinder for $300. I was hoping for a cheaper option. I found a brake guy out in Port Orchard who's going to rebuild it for a little bit less than that.

    Concentric Slave Cylinder repair?

I'm having one hell of a time attempting to replace the clutch and slave cylinder on my sisters car. 1 in 1000 put on the road, and they no longer make parts for it. I've figured out the actual clutch resurfacing. Now, I just need to figure out something to do on the slave cylinder. Is there...

Pneumatic tires for a rollaway tool chest?

I have this craftsman tool chest, and while I love the wheels on the bottom, they don't do a great job of moving through grass. I'm getting ready to move, and I'll need to drag this 8 million pound tool chest across grass more than once to get it to it's new location. I was wondering if anyone...

    Strut Compressor Alternative?

Be careful with struts. Don't go cheap on those tools. You're compressing the springs and if that tool breaks sheet can go downhill real fast. I've heard of people losing legs due to those blowin apart.

State Regs for Fender Flares & Mud Flaps?

So if this is true, how do people get away with >30" tall bumpers? You know, the super lifted full size trucks: 35+" tires with 4-8" of lift? I plan on installing a 6" lift and running 35s... Pretty damn sure that my rear bumper's gonna be a little bit taller than 29." How do I get around...

I could live with that. Where does one acquire such a permit?

    Installing Gears

Has anyone ever done this themselves? I have plans on investing in some 4.88s, but I've never taken any of my vehicles to any shop to have people work on them - I'd really like to be able to do this myself. Is this something feasible for someone's who's pretty good at wrenching under his car...
