Holy **** Look At This 30 Spline Axle!

Ya, We went to Truckee for dinner and when we got back there were dougnut marks all over the street. Everyone was getting rowdy on the rocks on the lower side were we were camped all night. Kept us up alot. If they would push the start time up to about 8am instead of 10(I think it was) that...

    Tuff Truck Damage

Great shots, at least nothing snaped. Most the enertia was used up in the bending of the axles'. Between that and the Jounce shocks I bet it didn't feel too bad inside. Good luck getting it back together.

    Jeep questions

Just cut the ****ing roof off your yota and shut up. Get over the "brand thing" and just ask for help. Just remember your thinking about buying something your knocking. It will break down since your Karma's bound to catch you.

What is your favorite mod on your rig?

Starting with something unique, but that would be my worst mod too.

    spider 9 or dana 60

Housing $399. Knuckles $899(?retail yet to be determined)Unit Bearings $325(X2). Rotor's/Calipers/hats $700(wilwood). Shafts(bobby's)$1500ish. case$250. Gears $250. Locker $300-$900. Yoke$70. and I might be forgetting something. Don't forget your getting more than just an inch clearance though...

    spider 9 or dana 60

Exactly, unless your going to run 17's or bigger you won't clear the brakes and steering with 1 ton stuff. I'm also switching since I already have 5 lug rims. You could also keep your rims since if I remember right your 6 lug is the same as chvy/toy. There will be a little more work on J/Y...

    Full width vs EB width.

Full width is too wide for you rig and your wheelbase, unless you want to drive a square. Go narrow and have a driver.

    spider 9 or dana 60

Most J/Y 60's will run around 70 inches. I would take a stab at guessing your midsize rig is in need of about a 66ish width.? As far as downtime. If you build up and fab brackets for the J/Y 60 you could build a spider 9 just as quickly. You will have no teardown time, no cleaning or...

    spider 9 or dana 60

Ha, what kind of a thread is this. You ask Spider 9 or 60 and then start asking about junkyard diffs. Nothing wrong with j/y diffs it's just a funny question after your original post. Seem's like it should have read Spider 9's or ProRocks..or Junyard 9's or 60's.

    spider 9 or dana 60

9's Your still running parts that can be had. 9's are more common than 60's(especially in all those old bowtie hotrods:fawkdancesmiley: ) With spiders you would be running ford units and probably wilwood brakes. That's a pretty good combo. Then again at the $ you'll spend on SPIDER 9's you...

    Flex!!!

TRUCKIN6382 Think of it this way. 2 equally lifted xj's with same tires, lift, etc. 1 with swaybars connected f/r and a rear locker 1 with no swaybars and no lockers. I'd bet the 1st would outperform the latter. And hold up better due to slower speeds with less throttle to clear obstacles...

I know my JEEP will flex better!! (Don't worry I limited it for the real world)

what do you take with you

Cheap build rigs like Toy's and Sami's usually have such a tight build budget there's no $ left for spare's. Unless you need one of the 3 tranny's, 2 engine's, 5 tires, or 2 frame's they have laying in the back yard:clappy:

    Which locker?

If I was on a budget I would run a spool in the rear and a ARB,OX,or Factory toy locker in the front. I like the ability to unlock the front when turning sharp. I went ARB f/r because I figure I'll save $ on tires in the long run knowing a Spool, welded, or crappy working ez or detroit will wear...

You know he might want to drive it to the store or something. If my wife's license plate said something like [FXY LDY] I would NEVER drive it.
