anyone have dana 300 dimensions ?

Copied from Novak: http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/model_300.htm "The 300 weighs in at 85 lbs. and is about 16" wide. It is factory clocked to 23 degrees down. The length of the 1980 Dana 300 is ~10-1/2", as measured from the front input face to the rear yoke face. The later version is...

    4.0 I6 Swap

In MY opinion, if you have a complete running '92 engine, and just want to replace a tired block, I would use the '97 as a long block, and keep all the '92 accessories. Just use the harness that's already installed, same computer, etc. It's the simplest way, and there is no performance gain with...

    4.0 I6 Swap

Well, maybe. I'm pretty sure '97 is OBDII. I know '92 is OBDI. I believe the block and head can interchange, but the OBDII sensors and computer are just a bit more complex. It's not "just" plug and play, but not really that different than some model year changes in earlier engines. If it's not...

    Ac to oba conversion ?'s

FWIW, that's not an ordinary ABC extinguisher, that's a CO2 extinguisher, they will hold a lot more pressure. Don't use one of the ordinary dry chem extinguishers, it could go boom before the relief popped off.

    H1's 8 bolt vs 12 bolt

Aren't the 12 bolt versions heavier? If so, then that extra steel has to be somewhere. I know that the 8 bolt version also has a lower maximum inflation pressure (30 psi of the top of my head). I would suspect that this has something to do with the force exerted on the studs. Since we always...

    Bending Jeep Corner Gaurds?

Barbed Wire offroad is making blanks, looks like $250 a pair shipped. Cheapest I have seen. I would rather buy local, though. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=818196 http://stores.ebay.com/Barbed-Wire-Off-Road $280 on their E-Bay store. I think CJ, YJ, TJ all use the same...

    ford diesel questions

Do you want a 4 speed or a 5 speed. If you look, you can find Diesel 5 speeds with the transfer case. I have a 4 speed T-19 in my 87 F-350, and I have thought about upgrading to the later ZF SF5-42 or SF5-47. Not knowing what you have, I would bet that you could rebuild your current tranny to...

Need Help! 83 jeep CJ7 has no top end power

Not oval, round like Charlie Brown's head. Or do you mean which particular AMC 20, and as far as I know, that doesn't matter, they're all the same. here's a pic: http://www.jeeptech.com/axle/amc20.jpg

    Hammerite,where are you...?

I think it's harder to find real Hammerite brand, but all those places have hammered finish stuff. And it's not the same, Hammerite Brand is much better paint. I order it from TCP Global: http://www.tcpglobal.com/spraypaintdepot/hammerite.aspx but this is better...

    Waggy Leafs

I couldn't tell you which pack people use. You can tell the difference by the number of leaves and thickness. They also used the same packs in J trucks, so I would guess the highest spring rates went in the heavier GVW truck. From what I have read, the 7 leaf springs off the Wagoneers are most...

What carb should I put 85 or 86 Jeep Renegade

from post #9 Sounds like it needs a regulator to me. Probably a rebuild, too. Probably the least expensive way to go. Pretty sure Weber recommends about 3.5 psi.

    Waggy Leafs

I assume you mean Waggy front leaves. Slightly longer (1 5/8" nominal) than YJ, offset center pin, more arch stock, and heavier spring rate. I would guess that they would bolt in, depending on how you oriented them they would give you some stretch, yes they would give you some lift over stock...

What carb should I put 85 or 86 Jeep Renegade

FI is the BEST answer, just not the easiest. But it's not too hard. If you were going MPFI, a complete donor is that answer, but you really want the '91-'95. How much work do you want to do on someone else's rig? Webers are decent carbs, but they don't like too much pressure. Does it have a...

What carb should I put 85 or 86 Jeep Renegade

If you absolutely HAVE to go carb, a Motorcraft 2100 is the most common swap. If you buy one, '74 CJ-5 304 works pretty good. I know of a guy that's really happy with his Holley 2300, he had to mess with it a little bit to get it right, getting it jetted right, as I recall he ended up with a 57...
