    22r Timing and propane.

You can get away with quite a bit of timing advance while running propane. You are more than likely going to run out of adjustment in the stock distributor. Keep the full advance at the RPM where you have it. Go for a test drive. If you still feel like you could use a little more put in a...

Dude keep the thistle chickens. It's not like the trails around here are going to be hard anymore.

    lincoln lockers.... Nissan

You can totally weld these carriers. You just have to weld REALLY REALLY SLOW. Tack everything together before you disassemble it if you can. Again, tack, let cool, tack, let cool. Make sure it goes together again after each tack. My Mercedes Turbo Diesel is done this way. It's no sweat if you...

    Orbital valve help

If you are running bobby long chromos you can get about 7 1/2" of ram to work on a Toyota axle. It's WAY better than stock steering radius. Dont forget: make sure that the steering valve is Open Center!

    PSC load-reacting/return to center orbital

Load reactive valves are super quirky. So don't rule that out. With a single ended ram they do really weird things like turn the wheel one direction when you let go of the wheel. Also, the cooler that you installed could add a bit to much of a restriction and cause problems as well. Bypass the...

    Jeep Q?

Check the tire pressure. (I'm not kidding) Also, check the caster. There is a little bit of adjustment on the axle end of the lower control arm. Make sure these are maxed out to move the axle forward.

    Why me??? 5.29 gears broken

This thread is hilarious. Anyone using a crush sleeve is just lazy. That is why they were invented. To save time in setup. Everyone knows that a diff that sees anything but a mall parking lot with a crush sleeve will fail prematurely. As for the original question? Toyota differential parts are...

    Sealing tire bead...

Local marine supply store. (fishermans whatever) Black Sikaflex. Put it in the bead, inflate tire all the way. Let sit for a day or so. Works like a champ. You will have to run a razor blade around the bead to get the sikaflex to release when you change tires. I've done this on several rigs. It...

    steering valve options

Open center means that the pressure ports are open with the steering in neutral. (aka not steering) Non-load reactive means that outside forces (like rocks and obstacles) will not affect steering. This means there will be no feeling in the wheel. Load-reactive (like the ones PSC sells) give...

    steering valve options

There are three things to look for. 1. Open Center. 2. Non-load reactive. 3. Somewhere around 160cc per/rev. will give you a little quicker than stock steering with a 2x8 ram.

    Sway bars

It's all about the same $ after you buy the Tube, tabs, links, bushings, steel arms, and sway bar. Believe me, I just went through this in April.

    Sway bars

I run the Currie antirock sway bar. Mine is the 35.75" universal length bar. The kit comes with arms, tube, tabs, and everything you'll need to install it. It's nice and quiet. It's also adjustable so you can set how firm you want it. Just make sure you get the steel arms and it will outlast...

    Dana 60 bolt on portals

I saw these on the trail in Moab. They are pretty sweet. You would need to run a 3:55 gear ratio to even make them drivable. They have a huge gear reduction.

    FJ40 Cage and project completion

Ok, it's done. We took it to Walker Valley. Did all the trails with no problems. There was still snow up at the top of the ridge so that was cool. Good times!

    TJ Suspension Advice Wanted

Install a fixed heavy duty output in the transfercase. Pull a cherokee front driveline and have it shortened. Or shorten it yourself. That will take care of your vibration problem.
