the average tire for a toy has a back spacing of 3 1/2"s... you can get a set of wheels from summit that have as much as 2" back spacing...I ran with a wide rear 1 1/2 wheel spacers in front and 2" backspaced wheels...

thats the same way mine was but the front springs settled and i took the 3" blocks out and replaced it with a full lenght add-a-leaf...

well as long as your 83 is a short bed its much easier to swap bodys, six body mounts need to be moved and the runner body fits nicely.and its cheap, don't have to buy anything to do that swap.:awesomework:

well if you use a snatch block with a 12,000lb winch it would give you 24,000 lbs of pull. but you have to remember you only get the rated pull on the first roll of the drum on the winch. and lose 10% for each row after that.
