If the rig is ever in Everett or Ballard let me know, I can resplice the thimble the right way, takes less than a minute to do it right.

    KM2's Real World Experience

Yesterday I got a chance to try out the new KM2's in mud. My initial opinion was that they suck. After a fun afternoon of pulling cable, my opinion didn't change. They don't seem to self clean, and for a mud terrain that's an automatic fail. They are a lot quieter on the road than the old...

    your oppion on tires

I've run them before. They work good in everything but snow. Sidewalls are too stiff to air down well without beadlocks. They also develop flat spots if they sit on pavement for a while, makes for a loud bouncy ride until they warm up if you plan on using them on the street.

    new 33's

I've tried the LTB's and they are a pretty rough tire for pavement. They develop flat spots every time you park so the warm up period on winter mornings is pretty crappy. They are also pretty bad in snow because the sidewall is too stiff to air down and flatten them out without beadlocks...

    Public Meeting

To put things in perspective: Superlift ORV Park 1250 acres Badlands ORV Park in IN 800 acres Rausch Creek in PA 1700 acres Iron Range Trails in MN 1200 acres These would be good examples of what you can do with this much land. We can bitch about how little we get, or we can hope someone looks...

How many of you all belong to a 4x4/offroad club?

Only one I belong to the members are spread out across the country, so we don't wheel together all that often. One more example of a club with a non-PC name and a non-PC logo.

    Thoughts on LTB's

I liked the LTB's when I had them. Like Ben mentioned they aren't great in the snow, but good for mud and seemed to work fine on the rocks down south. Like other swampers they develop flat spots if they sit for a day or so, so if you drive them on the streets it's pretty rough for the first...

    Running trails

My question would be how do I know what trails are suitable? To go back to Reiter, without a map and trail ratings I wouldn't know which trails to even try. Someone mentioned asking someone, but realistically if you walk up to someone at the staging area and ask their opinion, are you really...

Good alignment shops in the Snohomish-Monroe-Everett area?

I went to the Les Schwab just off Broadway in Everett. My East Coast born truck had all the adjusters rusted in place and they worked on it for 2 hours to get them loose (all but one) while only charging me regular rate for an alignment. Didn't seem to care about the suspension mods.

    Whats it going to take?

Some of us do. Some of us are involved in several organizations across the country and are spread pretty thin. One thing I would add to this discussion is that I agree there needs to be some effective leadership in the existing organizations to make them effective, but many of the current...

    Bulk oil

I buy the Delo 400 stuff for the boat. Can get it in 5 gallon pails for about $42 a pail. Not sure if that is a good price or not.
