    Gooseneck/bumper pull

I have both, a gooseneck and a bumper pull. They both have their place. I will state that a goose pulls and handles much better than a bumper pull in my opinion. I currently use an 18 foot bumper pull to tow my jeep, the goose does a lot of farm duty. Its not a large goose at 27 feet, but...

    Two post lifts

I have a challenger, its nothing special, 10,000 lb lift. I don't use it every day but it lifts anything I put on it, from mini's to duallys. I've been happy with it. I wanted something that had good service support and Challenger is in my home town.

insulate, insulate, insulate. Both my barns are insulated roof and walls. I wouldn't have one that isn't. A lot less sweating in an insulated building. At a minimum insulate the roof. A buddy did that and finally went back and spray foamed the walls.

    Farming

We've had a few cows for as long as I can remember. My grandpa always told me your not going to get rich off a few cows but they will pay the taxes on the farm and help you out in a pinch. We usually keep around 20, I work about 60 acres of hay ground a couple times a year, and bale my own...

    What does your wife ride?

She has an Acrua MDX AWD. It got 28mpg highway from Indiana to SC and back. 300 HP v6 does the job and has a 3rd row for short legged people. second row seating is on sliders. Same vehicle as the Pilot. She like it and it drives pretty good.

Zero turn mowers, What's crap what's good?

I have a Kubota ZD326 diesel with a 60" deck. It will flat mow. I mow about 5 acres twice a week when the grass is growing. Kubota makes a sold mower, I'd had a couple of them. We also use the same model to mow the middles of Christmas tree fields. They get beat and keep on trucking.

Newbies Post Up Here - Rig Specs & Info Thread

Thanks Man, I did a clean up and repaint in the spring. I don't think I ever posted a pic and put up my specs, I guess I got confused with the merger of the threads. I'm not looking to sell or really care whats its worth at this point.

    School me on bush hogs

You asked about finish mowers, a quality finish mower with sharp blades will take down 6" grass slick; as long as your not trying to run 10mph. There are big differences in finish mower quality. Again we use land pride and woods. They will also take a bit more power to turn than a brush hog...

    School me on bush hogs

We use a 25 HP Kubota with a 4 foot land pride hog and cut grass about once a month in the summer. It will take fescue/orchard grass/weeds from 2-3 foot to 3-4 inches and slick it off. We also pull a 5' with it as well, but it does not like the heavy thick stuff. Bush hogs are actually...

    wet sounds

I have two REV 10's on my tower run by an alpine pdxf4. At 80 feet you can hear them plain as day. Definitely worth the money in my opinion if you are in to that sort of thing. I have friends with REV8's and two pairs of REV10's. The 10's pick up full range a little better but the 8's...

Tow Rig Delimma ( Resolved )

Re: Tow Rig Delimma I towed for years with a half ton and two years ago bought a 2013 2500hd with the 6.0L. I have friends with diesels but couldn't convince myself to buy one. The truck tows my 5500 jeep on a single great and tows my boat well too. Night and day difference than my half ton...
