Rogue fab vs JD2 model 32

Thanks man! That's good to know you've used both and had a definite preference. I've been wanting to do this for years and finally finished and sold some projects to fund it. I follow your buggy builds on here to get ideas and learn a thing or two.

Rogue fab vs JD2 model 32

Which bender do y'all like for garage chassis and roll cage building? I'm looking at the Rogue Fab or the JD2 model 32 with the air/hydraulic setup. They are both in the same price range and claim similar capabilities... I'd like to be able to build a couple chassis a year and maybe a few roll...

Securing brake lines and hydro hoses to links?

I'm to the point in my front link build on my YJ that I need to figure out how to mount the brake line and the hydro hoses to the upper link and down to the axle. What have you guys used or seen that you liked? Thanks for any info or pictures y'all can post up!

    Relocating YJ computer / ECM.

I've had mine mounted that way for years, on the firewall behind the glovebox. It mostly just sits on jack stands though...

    Rear rad hill climb woes

I have no idea. I've not used said tester. All my diagnosis was covered under manufacturer warranty, so I wasn't trying to speed it up if ya know what I mean. I'll test everything they tell me to test, and charge warranty for it. :smoke:

    Rear rad hill climb woes

These have all been on newer bikes. Less than 10k miles I wanna say. It was pretty hard to diagnose because it would only leak when you really gave it the business (150+mph). The head gasket was blown, but only bad enough to leak under extreme load and throttle. Leak down or compression tests...

    Rear rad hill climb woes

I'm a bike mechanic, but an engine is an engine. I've seen several bikes with similar overheating issues with a blown head gasket. Same symptoms as what you have. Can ride it all day no problems but when the hammer is REALLY laid down it is making enough pressure to blow by the gasket. I've had...

Tow Rig Tech - a new Video series from Busted Knuckle

Have you put some miles on this thing now? How's it doing? Everything is still Okie Dokie? Can you tell any difference in fuel economy? I WANT ANSWERS :eat: ;)

4 wheeler question because local shops don't have a clue !

Keep it simple! It's a Yamaha not a Taiwanese. I'll admit weird things do happen, but not very often. Fuel, spark, and compression is about all you "should" need to check for. If you have good compression and it sparks you still have a fuel/carb problem. A compression test will tell you if the...

4 wheeler question because local shops don't have a clue !

I work on Jamaha's all day everyday. I've never had to replace a carb, unless a customer screwed it up somehow. Spray through every single passage with carb clean to verify it flows through ALL the passages. If the jets are stock sized, make sure the air box and all has not been molested. Make...

Tow Rig Tech - a new Video series from Busted Knuckle

I'm pretty interested in the results you get from the injectors. I've got some problems with my 7.3 cold starting, even when its 75° out. I think it's due to some old lazy injectors.

    Super Duty 60 prices?

Thanks Rusty, I looked into the 05+. It seemed like a few more hours worth of work, but may be well worth it. I was planning on getting the axle in for now to get back wheeling, and then go back with a divorced 205 sometime in the future...

    Super Duty 60 prices?

Awesome! Thanks guys. I knew y'all would know where to source these. My 2wd truck needs ball joints, TRE's, and wheel bearings. It added up to around 600$ when I was part shopping. I can buy a whole axle for that and at least be headed in the direction of 4 wheels turning. Pholman can I hit you...

    Super Duty 60 prices?

I'm working on converting my tow rig to 4w. What are you guys paying for super duty front ends? 02-04 to be specific. Anyone have a good source, or just FLEbay/ junk yards?

    ROCK RODS TECH TIPS

These tech videos are great :dblthumb: Tell Jake to invest in a set of Race Tech vise jaws. Those magnetic ones are great for falling off into your oil pan and splashing fork oil all over your shoes :****:. The Race Tech jaws bolt on.

    Cleaning out axle tubes?

Thanks for all the advice guys. I'm still working on this. I got one kingpin replaced last night, and broke the head off my breaker bar on the other side. As a motorcycle mechanic of 13 years, I now have a whole new respect for what tight AF is.

    Cleaning out axle tubes?

I wish like hell mine was just seals. I'm up to 310$ in kingpin kits and wheel bearings. It's hurting my coil-over fund. I'm not looking forward to getting the kingpins out. What do you guys think about the outer tube seals like east coast gear carries?
