8-10 quarts between changes? You don’t change the oil at that point. You swap the filter and call it good.

    Electric conversion crawler build

Man this thing is cool. Keep the videos coming. I’d definitely love to see it in some slow technical stuff.

    42RLE issues

Update time: Turns out that the PCM issues were a bad ground. Fixed that and still got limp mode on trans. Decided to investigate. Evidently a midget stripper had been living inside my transmission and she liked to take long hot baths and let the tub overflow. Water and stripper glitter...

    42RLE issues

2005 and it was grounded, not hot wired. I am not bashing the old owner at all. He wasn't doing the work. I checked the main ground on the engine block and removed the ground jumper and now it starts as it should in park or neutral only. It also will leave limp mode when you turn it off. Still...

    42RLE issues

I am 99% sure it is a bad ground or short in the system now. I messed around and got it to crank. It will only crank in neutral now and not every time. I think I am going to look for a wiring harness because that will be cheaper than paying someone to troubleshoot it. Certainly not willing to...

    42RLE issues

And the saga continues. This thing definitely has some wiring issues. The Fuse box under the hood has a ground wire ran from the ASD relay to the negative post on the battery. If you remove it, the jeep won't start. With it in place, the jeep starts, but the safety switch is bypassed and the...

    42RLE issues

After talking with Daveys jeep parts, he said that the 2005 and 2006's are known for having broken wires between the trans and PCM at the firewall. Looks like I am gonna drop trans and start chasing wires. I have pretty much decided not to throw more money at it. If I can find any broken...

    42RLE issues

Awesome info. Thank you. So, in your opinion, is the short frying the tcm? Aka do I have 2 bad ones now? They both exhibit the same symptoms.

    42RLE issues

Awesome. I am definitely willing to try it. My concern is the tcm codes it's throwing. The previous owner had some welding done and they didn't disconnect the battery which is why I jumped straight to PCM. I am afraid I'll spend more on chasing the issue than a new (used) trans will cost.

    42RLE issues

Not sure. It's used, but from the look of the bolts on the trans pan, I would say a while ago.

    42RLE issues

Ive got a 42RLE that is giving me fits. Stuck in limp mode. I thought it was PCM so I replaced it and have the exact same issue. Its throwing codes: P0731 first gear incorrect ratio P0846 Trans fluid pressure sensor/switch B circuit range/performance P0613 TCM processor P1604 Manufacturer...

Grizzly locker WTF?? Yukon NO HELP!!!

I don't agree with your sentiment, but most companies have this policy. Thats the reason I won't buy used RCV's or anything else unless it is discounted pretty heavily. They don't have to honor the warranty. I wish more people understood this fact. Brad, that sucks man. I hope "Blue" takes...

    So I was thinking..

First...who said anything about a 6.0? Some of you boys and girls are lacking in the reading comprehension area and are focusing on the wrong part of the story! :flipper: Second...Kush, maintain your driving style and you'll be fine. You are putting in a stock motor, not a fawn 408 stroker...

peanut port heads have 2.07 intake valves almost like a small block, but are not worth putting any money into...at least that's what a little iron muffin told me.
