    '48 Willys CJ-2a build

Been kind of a slow go with a full time day job that has been kicking my ass and my blacksmith business but we've got the front axle out for a rebuild. One side was pretty nice and had the original Bendix jointed axle in it. J-mox had already been in it and put new brakes on that side. The other...

I'd love go wheel it some but it still needs tires and the steering/brakes rebuilt before we do. Where do ya'll ride out here? Over at Dustin Stubb's place?

    '48 Willys CJ-2a build

Slow process but we got a little more done. Walked my son through rebuilding the fuel pump then we put in a new fuel tank, sender, and new fuel lines. When we got it, the original tank had rust holes so it had been running off a 1 gal lawnmower tank with an old electric fuel pump.

    Pedal Commander for 2500HD 6.0?

I did not even think about James. I remember him from Blue Torch. I add him to my list of calls.

    Pedal Commander for 2500HD 6.0?

Thanks guys. I guess I need to talk to some local tuners then. This thing is completely stock and I loved it at first but then I started realizing I don't like some of these quirks.

    Pedal Commander for 2500HD 6.0?

Any of you guys ever use one of these? I have a 2008 2500hd 6.0/6L80e with 178k on it and I HATE the delayed acceleration. I'm not certain if it's the DBW or if it's the VVT but when I mash it, I want it to go. I just changed the air filter, plugs, wires and cleaned the MAF hoping that would...

Yep. We've been watching Grampa's Jeep too. That damn thing is amazing. I really want to get out and wheel this thing as it is but my son wants to restore it. :dunno:

    '48 Willys CJ-2a build

It isnt perfect by any means. It does have some repairs and rust but those can be fixed. The highlight was all the parts, new glass and weatherstripping!

    '48 Willys CJ-2a build

Picked up some parts yesterday. The windshield that came on the Jeep has had a bunch of "custom" work done to it. You can see it in the photos above. I'm not quite sure what they were going for but all of the hardware and frame were gone for the tilt out windshield. I found one with new glass...

    '48 Willys CJ-2a build

No picture worthy progress so far. We've been working on getting the lights all working. We did take it for a little ride around the neighborhood. Looking for a media blaster in the Birmingham area now.

Yes, I have seen the wheel well cuts. We will probably be going that way with it. Trying to keep it as factory as possible but I'm 5'11" and my son is 6ft at 15 yrs old already and he will be driving this too.

    '48 Willys CJ-2a build

Picked up the sweet little Willys from J-Mox this weekend as a project for my son and I. It runs great and can be yard driven as is but needs a few things before I would take it on a street. Will not be a crawler or anything. The idea is to just restore it back mostly original, although I will...

Grand Cherokee 4wd conversion booze cruiser

That's how I got my start, a 2001 XJ with a 2" budget boost, worn out 31" TSLS and an Aussie in front/LSD in rear. It was shocking what that thing would actually go up. LOL

up grading axels in a stock 94 yj

Re: up grading axels in a stock 94 yj This! I ran a 30/8.8 with lockrites and 4.56 gears on 33s & 35s for about 10 years and only broke the front 1 time and that was due to a front ujoint spitting the cap out and breaking the ears off the shafts. I didn't beat it down though. I knew it's...
