    Race Yota 4653

I'm sure the ex co-driver is kicking his own ass enough that it isn't really needed from anyone else. Is it against the rules to have shock hoop connector bars or tie-ins to the rest of your tube work? or was just over looked?

    Race Yota 4653

What is the story on the co-driver pussing out and shock hoops breaking off?

    Gasket or RTV?

I like Ultra gray on both side of the gasket. Put the bolts in and tighten down till the gasket just makes full contact. Let set over night and then torque them to 13ft lbs. Then snug them back up every time I have my skid plate off.

    3DB Crawler build by Cutlerfab

Seeing his unbelievable skill using hand tools, I hear you! BUT ain't nobody paying $$ for someone to run a cutoff wheel.

14 bolt disk brake conversion issue

    I used the flex lines from a '91W250 Dodge (part# H38421). I'm not sure what Gubni's kits cost but I pieced my kit together for $220. The parts list is simple. 1978 K20 Rotors BDR 5523 CARQUEST 2 $38.99 $77.98 1978 K20 L Caliper CLP 18-4045...

    Flatlands #1

No doubt that some tabs and such aren't worth it but for all of the custom parts what choice do you have unless you've got 10g's to drop on a plasma table. Besides, there is a lot of satisfaction to be had from doing it yourself.

    Flatlands #1

Great to see an actual build thread again with active photo links! Also love to see someone else still using the old school fab techniques. What ultra bell are you using?

    Random steering?

PSC's are actually Char Lynn brand steering valves. I would bet the bank that TG doesn't make their own either... Might be Eaton brand units.

    WOD Hill Killer Chassis Build

Clean work Wizzo! I hope you did a test run before you wrapped all of those engine wires. Sucks to undo all of that beautiful work! Those blue see fuse blocks are a good value.

    90's throw back....Manche build

So is the pillow block bolts welded in from the back side of the plate? Maybe I missed it but what are the plans for the windshield? will it be OEM glass? if so will it be detachable?

    90's throw back....Manche build

Good decision. You've done too much right to rush it now. Riding on Monday and Tuesday morning was awesome. I climbed the jungle slab for the first time :smoke:. Rain Tuesday afternoon ruined riding for Wednesday and most of Thursday. Friday and half of Saturday was nice. Saturday at about 5 a...

    90's throw back....Manche build

Re: Re: Re: 90's throw back....Manche build Yup, that is the case. You'll 3 or 4 days late to get that primo parking these days. The only time I ever met with John G was that year at Dixie... good times hanging out and riding with that bunch. My crew camps up top at the wedding chapel across...

Re: Re: 90's throw back....Manche build Be prepared, that jungle wall (that is your avatar pic, right?) looks nothing like it did a few years ago! When will you be getting to Dixie?

    Cadillac converters

I run a 12" glasspack and a 12" generic oval muffler on my 4.0L and it is stupid quite and pretty easy to package around the links.

    90's throw back....Manche build

Please please please have this thing at Dixie! Throw a couple of toggle switches and an oil pressure gauge on it and rock out. The tins are a work of art but man it sure looks good nekked.

Field serviceable or crimped hydro steering hoses ???

The FS fittings cost quite a bit more. But I found that I could buy the FS fittings and hose to make my own for the same price as having the local Parker store crimp them. And now for repairs all I have to buy is the hose hopefully.

Very clever. :smoke: As everyone else has said, your work is amazing. The finished (everything clean and tidy) look you give separates you from us hobbyist. thumb.gif Sorry if you mentioned and I missed it but besides the appearance, is there a reason you are adding all of these tins? Seems...

    "Bolt Check"

I'm not a racer and I don't beat on mine like a rented mule so after the first couple of years of doing for real bolt checks and not finding any issues I have laid off. Now a couple times per year I will check link bolts and jam nuts, TC oil top off, diff fluid top off, drive shafts & bolts...

    Tin Top Buggy

Fine looking rig. I like them with a full body too! What is the reason for running the bolts vertical on the axle end of the rear upper links?
