14 bolt tube removal

Hey guys, what have you found to be the best/easiest way to remove the axle tubes from the center section? I was thinking about blowing out the rosette welds with a torch and just pressing them out. The only thing I'm not sure of is if all that heat would weaken the housing. I'm thinking no but better safe than sorry.

I would just press them usually the welds aren't very welded to start with! If you have access drill threw them in a drill press

Unfortunately, I don't yet have a drill press. I tried a hand drill but that proved nearly impossible right away. Also my press is only 20 ton. I'll give it a try but I'll admit, I'm somewhat skeptical. Thanks though.

Might try a carbide tip hole saw. They cut like butter. Annular cutter is what they are called. You will never use a reg hole saw again.
