I have an autometer w electric senders... One before filter and one after. I have it wired so it normally reads after but w the push of a button it shows before... Makes for instant diagnosis of clogged filter or other issues... It's pricey but peace of mind from the driver's seat is nice... Btw when the filter starts getting clogged the pressure will start dropping on full throttle pulls first... Just back off the throttle till you come to a good place to change it. The aftermarket full fuel systems all have what I consider a flaw... You have to lay on your back to change filters.... Snow, mud, piss soaked pavement, etc and then fuel running down into your armpits. Now if you're trailering your truck to the truck pulls and running extreme mods that would be a different story. As for FPX, it really doesn't do anything for you... If you are set on it, consider the 'reg return' system that keeps the stock fuel bowl... It will actually remove air from the heads instead of just sharing that air between both heads. As long as your fuel pressure is right none of the injectors starve for fuel... Doesn't happen... If you keep air out of your fuel supply it won't be in the head... Fuel at 60-70 psi compresses air bubble to almost nothing and they go thought the injectors... If you have a problem with constant air in you fuel (mixing valve in tank or oring in quick connect) then it can cause issues but if it's just a matter of purging air after assembly then it isn't going to hurt a thing. EDIT: whoops just reread your post... I missed where you said budget reg return... I suggest that if you do go that route, keep the original stuff in the truck esp on long trips... Your local vato zone or stealership will be of no help if you have roadside issues w custom stuff...
