I just picked this up 2 weeks ago...iv been looking for a few weeks now....

its a 1996 7.3 5 speed
with a intercooler banks chip, gauges , 3 1/2 downpipe...and I cut the muffler off

air bags with controller and gauge in the cab.

fifthwheel hitch /camper tie downs

super clean inside ....few rock chips and some small dings...

I paid 8k for it and had to drive to bend OR to get it...

im pretty happy....I have some things I want to do .....I already pulled the running boards and canopy off ...so I lost the grampa look

No way man, I love me some grandpa truck.

The guys at work are always asking if I take my truck offroad. I tell them that is what the Jeep is for. They are still confused.

I've owned the dirtymax since 08. I've HAD to put it in 4wd less times than I can count on one hand.

I've actually put it in 4wd for lanuches at stoplights way more times than that. :awesomework:

And now it has a grizzly locker in the rear. Towing I can't really feel it back there. Empty it drives different. Not bad, just different.

I like it without the topper .... It was great for a while but now I'm gonna get a tool box maybe a rack back there. I'm glad I took it off also cause I found out someone only rhino lined one bed rail??? And a couple tack welds for the left side of my bed are broken

I dig the topper 'cause it makes for an easy tent while off road.

Or shooting when in the rain. Just prone out in the truck and fire that rifle away. And it collects your brass which gives the base MP something to scratch their heads over. :awesomework:

Yeah when I was at browns that is were I slept definitely will go back on for trips I take......I love my obs ....duramaxs are nice but ....fords are easy

You have seen what I DD. $350 1992 Duster

The cheaper the better. If it gets the job done who gives a fawk?

I have some $$$ into my dirtymax as well. Don't think it's all unicorns and fairies with the dmax crowd.

Find you a good tow rig, a cheap DD, and you are good to go.

In the end, I will say the fully loaded Dmax is pimp for the long road trips. :fawkdancesmiley:

The Ford man goes the way of the dark side?

It's happening.......

Matt wanted my truck, so I went on a search and fell upon this gem. 03, EFI live, exhaust, intake, BD exhaust brake, air dog fuel system, LML drivers side manifold, bigger turbo, New injectors, Brand new Allison, (cost him 8500 to have it built) I have a giant spread sheet of all done to the truck. Very well taken care of. Anything that was a known issue with these years, was addressed.

My ass is getting use to the leather too.

I found all this info out by accident so to speak. My real estate agent turns out to be the original owner and builder of the truck. Found that out this morning when I pulled up to my Prospect investment property. :D
