Newbies Post Up Here - Rig Specs & Info Thread

That is so sweet!!! I want something like this so bad so I could haul it in my toyhauler. Will you be able to modify this as he gets taller, or do you need to start another next year? lol
i can modify it a little bit to fit him when he gets taller, i figured he should get 2-4 yrs out of it, depending on how he grows.

Sounds like a great timetable for me...I mean my son...let me be the first to officially request "Dibs" when this one is too small for your kiddo!

After 3 years finally getting her running and driving I'm starting to see some trail time in the near future just gotta button a few things up . Pulled this wag outta the fence row for $350 and started working on it when i had time . I've always wanted one and couldn't pass it up . Its not the ideal ride for the places we have to ride these days but I don't have the coin for a buggy. Plus I needed something to haul the kids in.
1984 Grand Wagoneer
Amc 360
Tf727 fresh rebuild
D300 4:1 twin stick

Dana 44 3.54 wide track front converted to 5lug with high steer
Ford 9" 3.50 with a detroit

Spring over in the front with bjs offroad extended shackles and spring flip ( tie bolts are offset), stock springs

Rear has tt's shackle flip kit modified slightly to get the height down . Springs flipped as well to get the tires out the rear door .

Stock ford bullet holes for now and half wore out 39.5 iroks .

Gotta get some more high steer arms made as of right now and make a tie rod and it'll be ready.

It ain't pretty, and probably never will be…
I haven't done this kind of stuff for fun for a lot of years. I had a mildly built 1981 Toyota on 33's about 25 years ago that I find myself missing every now and then.
Fell into this project by chance, and here I am. Actually intended on doing a semi-original restoration originally, but things changed as I mentioned in my new member intro…it's now going to be a bright yellow off-road machine for my disabled daughter to enjoy.
For now my plan is to get it on the road with the existing power train, upgrade the seats and rollcage, then work on getting it up in the air and swapping up to a v6 and all the goodies that go with that.

That's a neat project due an awesome reason!

This is my **** box ive been wheeling/building over the last 8 years or so.
5.3, 4l60, 231/300, gm60/14b, yj leafs, 4 link rear with tj coils 106" wheelbase, 43 sx stickies
Currently tearing into it this winter to 4 link the front, stretch it out to 113, full hydro, and most likely coilovers.

Hell yeah !
The old school Renegade hood makes it look soooo good !

Thanks! yeah the hood is the coolest thing about it and nicest body panel. I might have to cut into it for some more uptravel though just thought about that lol
Was going to say what they said about that sweet hood!

Just get a seconded "crawler hood" to cut up and keep the Renegade hood intact as your "going to town hood".

new to the forum but not so much to Jeeps.. finally was able to get my dream jeep at a decent(ish) price

2006 Jeep TJ Unlimited Rubicon, 6 spd. purchased it sight unseen out of houston, TX and had it shipped to me in Tyler.
how it arrived
IdDnfkH.jpg

did a lot of work to it correcting PO cheapness and just old parts.. removed the old procomp lift springs (i think 4") and worn out arms, blown out shocks and dreadful drop track bar bracket (that was loose when i got it.. makes for fun driving) and installed RK 3.5" springs, Core 4x4 tier 1 arms f/r upper and lower, core front track bar (no drop bracket) and rear JKS track bar. along with some factory take offs from a 392 Wrangler.. this thing drives awesome.. lots more to do.. but I drive this thing pretty much whenever i leave the house instead of my 3.0L duramax sierra.

how it sits now
