Let's see your tow rig!!!

If I was buying a HD gas burner, I'd get the smaller v8 and deal with revving the piss out of it and hating life towing anything more than a single rig on a single car trailer. Then I'd get tired of having a HD truck that can't do HD things and go buy a diesel. Then get tired of looking at the big chunk of $ sitting in the driveway not getting used, and go back to a cheap beater 1/2 ton. Then start looking for a diesel again because you can't even haul a lawnmower without the trans acting funny and the brakes fading...

And here we are.
 
after towing with a diesel for the last 15ish years i can't go back to gas. I'll keep my bronco sport for driving distance and trusty rusty for towing. (she not rusty in the wrong places just on the surface, which hope to have that fixed as soon as the new house closes and we get moved in)

That's my issue. It's been 12 great years with my 7.3. Been rock solid but my frame is getting pretty rusty and can corners starting to go. Damn Ohio salt. I have a 7.3 excursion I drive 90% of the time. I just don't know if I can live with a gasser. But boy the payment is a lot more appealing on one

That stinks on the rusty but trusty 7.3!

Maybe @smbroady82 and @Dirt700 can lend some additional info/insight into using the Alumin-duty trucks as tow rigs.
I can speak on one with the 6.7 powerstoke, I had a 19 and it towed ok, I wasn't super impressed, but I have had 4 Cummins prior to that. My last Cummins, before my Ford was a 12 model, that had bigger injectors and bigger turbo, so it pulled like a train. Then I went to a stock super duty. So I was a little let down, but if I had been driving a stock Cummins, I think I would have felt different. Also the Ford had 3:31 gears, and I feel that is way too high. Broady's has 3:55 gears, so it pulls better.
 
gas mileage kinda sucks on my 2017 6.7 . averages like 13.5-14 unloaded (mine isn't deleted yet) , leveled and 37s

I have a little Honda to run around in so it doesn't bother me as much

the power is awesome

only issues with the truck have been piddly sh*t like the sunroof (which was fixed under warranty) and a trim piece tab breaking

I've had it right at 3 years

I have been in a Ram for the last 12 years. Last year I decided to try the new F250 with the 7.3 gas. I quickly found out that was a poor decision and went back to a Ram. Like others have said, if you get used to towing with a diesel it's sure hard to go back to a gas truck.

I've had my 17 Ram for 4 years now. Deleted and tuned since 56k. Just which it could hold more fuel. May fix that with a Titan 51 gallon tank.

Sharp looking setup!

No idea how expensive the Titan tanks are, but another option would be an in-bed transfer tank with pump etc wired to a switch in the cab. That's the setup in our 12' F250 so I can have 26 gallons in the tank plus another 40 gallons in the bed for longer trips.

Pulling a jeep/buggy isn't that hard for a gasser, remember that time my 8.1 left your 7.3 at the light coming back from Harlan? Don't be scared of running a gasser, I've heard a lot of positive things with the new 7.3 Ford gasser GM 6.6 gasser and Jerrod is pulling his camper with a 6.4 Hemi and is really happy with it that OBS doesn't even leave his barn anymore now that he got that new Dodge. I need to load up the leaf looker and come riding with you again so I can talk my **** in person.

You know that's a crock of **** you leaving me sitting. I just shook my head at ya and said get er done son. We 2 hours from home lol. Bring that damn thing up here and ride with us. Been too long man. And I couldn't go back to a gasser. Brought home a 19 f250 6.7 today. And I'm not impressed with it over my modded 7.3 but damn it rides nice
