trailers

I guess the next topic needs to be: What do you use for tie downs, and where did you find the best deal? Yes these are questions I have right now:flipoff:

You've seen my straps, got them from Freeway as a set of 4 with bag. Brad has a different style of strap with large hooks on one end to grab the axle, probably longer life but you have to make sure they are tight as they could fall off. Only other option is chain and binders, or a mix of straps and chains.

Most of the trailer places prices only include brakes on one axle. To me this is false advertising because in wa. state brakes are required on both axles. Don't get a angle iron one. To much flex and bending. A friend of mine Owns Bigfoot trailers and his are made out of 5" channel and his prices are about a $100 less than everyone else.

Mark I would love to have some more info on you buddy and his trailers.

Pm me if you would like. I am shoping around right now, but would definitly like to keep it local if possible and the price is right.

Same here, pimp his shop dude, he got a website we can visit or anything? Not saying I'm going to buy through him, but put up his info and I'll at least give him a shot at my business.

FYI I talked to TNT on the phone today, spoke w/the owner Donnie who was very helpful. They've got the "car hauler" which is 3x3 angle w/3500 axles vs the "light equipment hauler" which is 6" C channel and 6K axles. Both are 18'x80" b/w the fenders. $500-600 more for the "light equipment hauler", but probably well worth it. And he said they can build one with the deck 84" wide b/w the fenders using the same width axles, they just rework the deck and fenders a bit. That should be just about right.

Angle iron frames suck.
