This is where it sits now. The rear is buttoned up, I pulled the cage and did some work to it. The wheelbase is about 111/112, width is 85 rear and 87 front.

I'm working on plating the frame in the front. The rear is already been cut and retubed. I need to build the skid plate and do a bunch of finish welding and plating on the brackets, then I can sit the body back down and get after all the little ****.

Its been done for over a year and a half now. I've wheeled it a few times and rolled it a couple, kinda took the wind out of my sails. I'm ready to get it back in the woods. If anyone wants to see pics of any part of the build let me know.

thats my dad in the pics, he is 6'6" for reference

So after some seat time, what have you changed or wished you had done differently?

Good question; I'm in the process of putting 14's on the rear instead of the 16's and lowering the rig down a couple of inches. When i built the suspension I did it at full bump then cycled and everythign worked, but in doing so, when i set it up at ride height i noticed that i needed to rotate the pinions, they didn't line up like at full bump. Then I realized that the way i welded teh lower link mounts it did not allow me to rotate them up without moving the connection point above the centerline of the axle. Other than those items, thats about it. I would recommend a grill hoop to anyone with the radiator in the front, I didn't have one and lost a radiator in a roll.

I'm about to swap a 5.3 ito my CJ. What oil pan did you use.

I used the Kevco oil pan I had wack it with a hammer where the AN fittings were welded on to get a good seal, other than that i'm happy. I would recommend getting the fitting welled on straight down towards the ground.

I like them, honestly haven't spent much time trying to tune them. I put nitrogen in and went wheeling. I plan on doing some tuning this fall. Overall I'm happy with them, simple and easy to package. I will say you need at least 5.5" of shaft showing on a 14 to make it work and feel right, its night and day with anythign less showing.

I'd buy them again.

Nice cj its good to see some moab offroad stickers i rember seeimg thos jeep in a mag at moab good job on the rig thumb.gif
