Doing a little work on the HEEP

glad to see that you are goin with the 400 instead of the 350 turbo,,with that doubler. i just had to do some riggin with mine. there is so much damn weight behind the tranny. my dad hasnt had any problems with his. and he has got the 400. guess i know what im changin to lol
 
Ive also welded up the back of the TH400 hope it wont brake

oh ok. ya mine pulled the threads out of the tail. i had to drill oout the top two holes and retap the bottoms ones. it was a pain in the ass to take all that out for four holes. but will be swappin to a 400

your threads had to be junk in the first place

Payne welding the rib area wil keep that area from breaking, but it will break where it starts to neck down to the ribs if the trans and t-case are not supported correctly.

Just my 2 cents

definitely better than stock and wasn't doggin it. Just sayin it will break right before it if it is not "mounted/supported correctly"
