For me Tellico will be truly missed. Tellico is where I got bit by the wheeling bug 10 year ago, my first ever ride was a Dixie Run at Tellico in 1998. I had NO idea what I was in for or where it would lead. I have met many wonderful people due to this sport and Tellico is where it all started. I have been many many places since, but none like Tellico. No the trails weren't extreme, but I don't know of anywhere else like it. Where else could you get so far away from everything, camp by a river, and just r i d e? It was truly a get away for me and I will miss it.

This was my first time at telico in my own rig, my first jeep. Julio was there this trip.
I also was first bit by the wheelin bug @ Telico, like most everyone I know who rides around here. No other parks I have been to are like Telico, not the most extreme stuff but just a great place to go ride. Maybe it will re-open someday!

My first serious rock rig's maiden voyage was Tellico:



The another time I went up alone because all my friends were big pussies. I hooked up with a random stranger and his wife from Canada who turned out to be totally cool folks. They spoke English with a very heavy French accent and their rig was very prepared, albeit not built for Tellico. I ended up pulling them out on a strap because of ECM issues but he had every tool imaginable on the jeep. OBA, on board welder, etc. We still email to this day occasionally:







Then right after I met Jimmy and I had just finished Thanatos we went up again:













Its so sad to think that I'll never be able to go there again. One of the best places ever!

When Danny started running the camp it was just NOT the same anymore.

I really feel bad for Chuck too,we ALL had some FUN TIMES stayin in his cabins............and BREAKIN STUFF on his BADASS homemade rockcourse!!












Somebody said that Chuck was gonna move back to Fla. .......

Out of all the trails in the TELLICO system..........my favorite was trail 12 SCHOOLBUS, even on a wet and COLD November day like that......it was a BLAST to go up SCHOOLBUS !!

Thanks Scott for the memories !!! Now the old school green pitt bull jeep just sets in the shop taken up space its been almost 3 years the jeeps been out on any trails !!

I have a ton of prints and 8mm VHS video I need to upload. Tellico is where the "bug" bit me as well, and when it closed it almost felt like some of my desire to wheel closed with it. The pics pelow are from the week after christmas 07, the last weekend everything was open.
