hey guys I jumped the gun the snow came in strong for an hour or so but it's already gone at least in the northwest areaArkieblueyota said:It's snowing now in northwest Arkansas but nothing is sticking to the roads if it freezes tonight it's gonna suck ass in the morning

1TONTJ said:Most of the motels that are close to the park are a little on the dumpy side. Knights Inn and Travelier are the only ones I've stayed in close by. There are a few others though. The hotels in the old Downtown area are not too far away either. Embassy Suites, The Arlington, etc.
We stay here: http://www.comfortsuites.com/hotel-hot_springs-arkansas-AR160 Its about a 20 minute trip from the park but its easy if you take the bypass around town. Plus, it's across the street from On the Border! Damn good brisket tacos!
KOA was booked up on cabins a few weeks ago. They might have a cancellation though.
This may be a deal breaker for me. I have to camp out, and I don't know the area at all, so getting a campsite set up 1 day in advance is going to suck. Especially since I won't be there until midnight.1TONTJ said:Normally, they have designated primitive camp sites sorta like at state parks. They're all full I'm sure but they may have designated some additional areas for this event. I would give them a call.
KOA is just up the road and they may have something.
