750hp ls2 n/a

Yes but we are talking 408ci ls2. Not ls3 completely different animal
I feel ya. Brian has always been out to get the most out of all combinations. He use to do some personal work on a buddies race truck here. They were tight so that's how I know him. but I don't dispute the big differance between te LS2 and LS3 I was just stating that those kind of #'s are achievable out of those cubic inches or very close. I should have said that. but horse power is and has always been over exaggerated! A dyno will make a grown man cry fow show!

I also call BULLSHIT
my setup is LQ9 LS3 heads and intake fast 102 throttle body Brians cam Culver performance tune on 40" tires did hp 352 at 4750 with 40% parasitic loss that would be 492hp
Butt I don't have chrome headers or chome oil so that may be where the horsepower is
not a 408 and not LS2

You are shortchanging yourself. 352 rwhp would be 587 at the crank with 40% drivetrain loss. 352/.6 = 587

Are these people claiming all of this still using hydraulic rollers?

My neighbors is still a hydraulic roller but the victor intake and carb help make alot of hp over a long runner FI intake.

I thought that too but heads, intake, TB and tune does not equal 587hp on a 6.0L. So he's either got a lot more done or something is ****y.
It's wheel hp. Could be 25% loss, could be 40%. So his engine is somewhere between 480-580 hp.

A big cam, heads, intake, etc could make 500ish

Who knows, rear wheel dyno hp is a crap shoot.

A buddy's 6 spd LS2 GTO makes 430 to the rear wheels with just a stupid big cam and corresponding tune in a otherwise bone stock motor.

I have a friend that had a very similar GTO with an auto that only put down 360 ish, but ran a 12.18 in a 1/4 which is really good for ifs

What was his hp number.

What are yall running for wideband O2? I got embarrassed on the dyno today with a horrible miss at WOT. Was told to start with regapping the plugs, maybe try a colder copper NGK. Also was suggested to grab a wideband and do some data logging before bringing it back to help with tuning.

It's probably 90% spark gap. I use a LM1 on my Grand National, but things has advanced by leaps & bounds over the last 5 years. Pm me your set up (including all gear ratios and weight) and the plugs you are running now and I'll see if I can help you out

Sent, thanks. The Innovative LM-1 was suggested on instagram, but all I found was the LM-2.

Not sure if he just got a good one or what but Wizzo on here has a stock 6.0 outta a Hummer and Jonathan at Dyno proven dynoed it at rear wheels. First pull was like 306 then changed map curve to suit him and left it at like 302 iirc. I'm sure he will chime in but that's completely stock no head work cam anything.

Here's some of the dyno papers.

I've seen all different levels of drivetrain loss even with similar combo's on the same dyno. 40% is not uncommon with some of these offroad vehicles but his is likely more efficient and isn't really losing 40%. For instance, Todd Puckett's Silencer buggy only put down around 180 hp to the tire but he's running a heavily warmed over supercharged 3.8 that's well over 300 hp. Probably closer to 400 hp at the crank. Lot's of variables come into play on a chassis dyno.

This is the two pulls showing what it did at the wheels.

Wonder what rpm it topped out at?

I can find out but when we took it to the drag strip this fall he was shifting at 7000 and tickling high 9's in a 2900lb Camaro. It'll go deep 9's with more chassis work. Gonna hit it with a 300 shot this spring once the chassis is ironed out.

I would guess that the 40% thing is an assumption to make people feel warm and fuzzy.
