Just wondering if anybody has any experience with any of the all in one rigs. I wouldn't use any of each enough to justify buying them all separate.
I know most of you probably will say junk, but is it worth a gamble?
I had a lotos plasma cutter that worked great and then burned in the shop fire. So, I got curious looking around at these

Thougts....

I have zero first hand experience with this or any machine like it but just my thoughts on a multi process machine in any form is if something happens electronically the whole unit is down and so are multiple tools!

No first hand experience with this unit but last year i did a **** ton of research on china plasma cutters, from what i read theyre all pretty much the same brand just different colors but make sure the plasma end has the toshiba mosfets and that u can get consumables easily, i love my plasma cutter, for the money i would buy one of these combo units

I've got the Everlast MTS250S. Multi process that does mig, tig and stick. That machine has been absolutely flawless.

So I ordered a plasma from Everlast as well.... and I'm not as thrilled with the plasma as I am the welding machine. It goes into overload mode a lot, even when not maxed out or before any cuts are made. And the torch... it sucks.

I have no experience with any of the china made units

You can tig and stick with any machine but not all do ac tig.

All a plasma is is a tig unit with higher air pressure. I cant find it online but plasma cutting was invented by some guy that turned up his argon and volts to high and started cutting his metal.

So you can pretty much hook a argon tank with on instead of compressed air and throw some filler rod in there? I guess you would need a pedal to help fine tune during a weld too though

Not exactley but your getting the idea. You dont have to have a pedal or a thumb adjustment to tig weld either. Most field welding done in tig is scratch start or lift arc.

I had one and it worked well for light dc tig, The plasma cutter was garbage and the consumables had to come off the web. couldnt find them at airgas or any other chain. Lincoln has a killer new unit out that does mig and tig unit. Mine was not the super ultra though. that one may be better.

Re:

I dont have experoence with this partocular machine, or the chinese plasmas. I have a hypertherm plasma and love it, but it was spendy. I do have a ahp combo stick/ hf tig and it works great with stick and tig. One thhing to pay attention to if you do much stick welding is that an inverter style machine such as these only run certain rods, but i dont stick weld very often at all so it wasnt a concern for me
