Interco trailer tires

I put 16" alloys (6-lug Toyota Tundra wheels) on my trailer so I could run a 225/75R16 E 10-ply truck tire. They were $15/ea as a take-off from the Colorados / Rangers that run around town reading your water meters. I carry at least one full size spare and yet to use it. I had a blow-out on an 8-ply trailer tire, so swapped up to 16s with a 10-ply truck tire and been very happy with it.

what area are you in? Just curious for two reasons:

1. that seems like a good deal if the tires are any count.

2. I run a meter reading project and I know there aren't that many left that do manual reads anymore.

Where do you get these from? I'm gonna need to order a set soon (this week). The more I think about it, I may go with a tire from Walmart or TSC for the simple fact that they are everywhere, I pass at least one of each in any direction I go riding. Also, someone touched on them getting tires warrantied at Walmart. Seems smarter for me than having to order online and have them shipped.

My trailer is a 25ft deck gooseneck with dual singles (7k lb rated ea.).

Walmart normally doesn't stock load range E tires. Also check with them on trailers and warranty. They made me take mine off in parking lot.
That was 2 years ago, said warranty is void on a trailer or if you bring it in without the vehicle it was put on.

Funny you mention that, because I've tried to get more of those tires but the tire shop I got them from either lost the business or the meter reader trucks went away. I picked up these tires about two years ago.

Any Coop in Tennessee should be able to get them. I can get my old place to get you a set if it comes down to it. That Sailun is a heck of a tire. You are looking for the 637ST, and best I can remember it only comes in 16". I think there are like 3 r 4 sizes.

I found them for around $169ea/ shipped on Tire-easy.com . I like the 14PR and they have tons of good reviews. Is this pricing on par?

I'm sure they are great tires, and I know you get what you pay for, but I have a real hard time paying $300 per trailer tire.

Seems about right to me. I think I remember ours pricing out about $195 out the door, but that has been almost 6 months since I was there so :dunno:

Shipping for me in KY was 145$ I called my regular tire guy and he had tires in the 235-80-16 form 97$-167$ a tire where does these interco ones rank at on the list as far as quality?

That's BS. Tell them to ship the tires loose. IE don't palletize just wrap together with some plastic wrap and toss on a truck. Once they figured that out it got the shipping down to $61. Not sure why they are still quoting those ridiculous prices. Jessica ordered her a set btw, they just came in today. I'll get some pictures. Time will tell if they hold up.
