Pics of your shops/garages/specs

Re:

I wish I could have found dirt like that instead of chert for my new shop. Thats the same stuff I used for my old shop. Couldn't get any of that this time, actually struggled to find someone to bring anything at all with the way the weather was. Looks good tho, big flat pad all around will be nice.

The building site was originally all mature hardwoods and thicket so after they excavated the top 2-3 feet of topsoil and roots there was really good dirt to work with! Mostly red clay with very few rocks. We leveled an extra 20 feet all the way around for future additions and parking space.

They finished the roof today :) but concrete has been moved until late next week sometime due to rain :( Looks like there's gonna be some nasty storms coming in the next few days, it should make the Ultra4 race at AOP this weekend really interesting! :driving: :woot:

Concrete was poured today and the power company installed our transformer and electrical box for underground power yesterday!

The walls started going up and the over head doors are getting installed tomorrow. The rain has made it a nasty muddy mess around the job site, so I'm going to go ahead and start final dirt work around the building and lay gravel on the driveway this week after the sun dries it out a bit. Hopefully we will have electricity by the end of the week also! :p

I have to say I have never seen a woman, much less a blonde headed gal, working the chute on a concrete truck  The pad looks good thumb.gif

Her name may be Marsha, who knows. Haha. She was raking that **** around and working the finishing trowel like a pro. That man and woman is a couple, idk if they married or not. Pretty badass for a woman tho Lol. Building will start going up thurs or fri depending on rain.

What size shop?
40 wide, 36 deep, 10 side walls, 3/12 pitch roof. Will have 1 12x10 door in middle and an 8x8 door on each side of it, all on front wall.

Installed a 25k btu ac unit from Home Depot. Hopefully it's big enough to maintain a temp in the 70s this summer. So far with mid 80 days it's maintaining 72 easy. Gonna need to figure out how to seal up the gaps around the tops of the roll up doors to at least slow the air leaking.

Yeah buddy! Trim work, gutters, garage doors, and we will be ready to wire and hang some lights. Speaking of that, guess now would be a good time to study up and decide on some lights.
