super charger info

It's either gonna be between a whipple or a procharger.

Whipple will be easier to package, but the procharger will tons of top end power if you can rev it and also have cooler intake temps.

I dont have room for the procharger. What is the problem with the factory setup. Is it limited boost? Are there other factors to consider?

Not sure your exact situation and budget.
No doubt in my mind I will go to a Magnuson tvs2300 in my rig if I go forced induction. They have a few different styles and they package really low.
I have seen two buggies whith them and both had perfect manners idling and crushing but would instantly go to beast mode.
This is the first package that came up in a search.

I would go with a system like The-Boss posted, or a Whipple like Tony B said. I've had a Procharger D1 in a street car, and was not happy with it. I can't imagine that style would be any better in an off road rig. The really big Prochargers that they use in really high hp drag cars are awesome, but the street size P1 and D1 are not that great imo.

They do fine....you just need RPM to make them shine. What's a pushrod rev to? 6500rpm? I'm still making power and torque at 8000.

But I agree on offroad stuff. You need a roots/screw blower. I'd pass on the 2300 Eaton rotor pack and would look for a kit with the 2650 or whipple.

I'm running the magnuson tvs2300 6.2l with fbody accessories hawks was the only company that puts together customs kits, from base to top is roughly 10 inches bout the same as a truck intake.

Well maybe i do not even need a supercharger. If you need rpms to make them shine,I was under the impression it was on boost from right off idle thur the rpm range. I have read so much and everything contradicts it self.I read that 6 psi was what the magnuson kit makes with out over reving the blower with a smaller pulley. I was told a Whipple make 30 psi. What is the truth?

it's the prochargers that need rpm to make power. they are not "positive displacement" like a roots/screw style (magnuson/whipple).

The procharger is like a belt drive turbo, think of it like a high speed fan, blowing air into the engine. Requires SPEED to flow enough air to create boost.

The others are like a pump, actually pumping air into the engine with each rotation. They can make boost right off idle/at idle.

I can tell you for fact that the buggies I saw with the Magnuson had instant power. The power seemed to come on faster from idle than some big cam NA motors in my opinion. Between the packaging and how it went from very tame to nasty sold me. There may be a Whipple now that packages that well but I haven't seen one.

Eddie you have me drooling. Didnt realize you were going to run that setup.

Yes sir if I could ever finish it I'm at the point when I get home this time I'll send to powder coater then put it all together again, I'm so ready to see how it performs .the supercharger set up has faught me with the dual power steering pumps
