Custom PRP seat garbage

That what I sent to PRP about it:

"This is the perfect spot to store my phone and wallet when I'm riding and still keep them accessible even when I'm belted in tight. I love it and use it every time I hop in my rig. The one thing I'd change to them, would be to double sew them on, vs the single line that is offered right now. This is because when you cannot hold the pocket and are trying to open it with one hand, the pocket will flop around and not really offer a good positive feedback."

Truly appreciate the feedback! Hoping we can make this happen to create a better product.

I'm onboard for a taller headrest also. Even for my height (6'4"), the standard height harness location is pretty good. I called to ask if they would do a +2" without raising the slots and they wouldn't.

I had to mount another headrest above the seat since the seats own headrest was so short.

I'll need to call and get a price on a pair of podium cushions for mine. The standard cushion is comfortable, but another inch of headroom would be welcome. I already had to come up with a completely new seat mount for these when I swapped out my old corbeau ultras to lower the seat to a usable level.

Height of the old podiums.

My Comp Elite +2" are 31". IMO, that's not enough.

Comp Elite standard height are 29"
Comp Pros +2" were 32"
Comp Pros +4" were 34"

I will measure the PRP premier I have but it's way smaller.

The Comp Pro +4" were perfect for me in terms of headrest height, but the harness slots were too high at 26".

The harness opening of the Comp Elite +2" at 25" is perfect, just needs 3 more inches of headrest height.

I wish I hadn't of cropped this image so I could show both measurements at once, but my Comp Elites measured 25" to the center of the slot using the 1" shorter Podium cushion on a +2" seat.
I could have sworn I measured 33" to the top with the Podium cushion, (which was the goal), but I can't prove it.

30"/22.5" standard model
32"/24.5" with +2" upgrade
33"/25.5" with 1" shorter Podium cushion

Where did the head rest come from? I need some for my buggy and haven't found any.
I'm guessing that's for me. I found this in a dodge caravan it the junk yard. One of the newish models but I didn't pay attention to the year. It was on the rear bench seats. I went looking for anything that had the mounting posts behind, instead of out the bottom of, the headrest. I made a mount that's clamped to the cage and the height is adjustable.

I lucked out on the colors being so close. If it was the same ostrich material you'd think prp had made it. Lol

And here's a shot with me in the seat showing why I need the headrest. I think the podium cushion will put me where I want to be height wise.

Thank you sir! When helmets are on our due to the angle our helmets rest on cross bars behind seats.

thanks again!

I am 43 inches from seat to the top of my head. I need at least 40 inches of back and headrest to be useful. I feel y'alls pain. I am one bad rollover away from a broken neck....

But for some reasons, every seat manufacturer makes headrests that are less than ideal.

I even asked @PRPSeats if they could make a custom seat with a taller headrest (I would pay for custom costs) but I was told they wouldn't. That's why I insisted on this issue in my feedback email to them.

I got an email from PRP this morning with tracking info for (1 podium cushion). I wonder if this outgoing box will miraculously bump into my boxes of seats headed back to Cali?
I sent an email to Justin letting him know.

Damn. Sounds like you need a seat with a seperate headrest. Having a headrest custom made might be an option with some type of lowback. I almost went this route cause I could put the belts & headpad exactly where I needed them.

Wasn't trying thumbs up that, fat thumb hit the button my bad. SMH

Side note was starting to look at other seats because of this prior to @PRPSeats hopped in. After this I'm back to leaning toward PRP when I'm ready for them!

No worries.

Still waiting on PRP to hold their end of the deal.

As of right now they are out of stock of a part that should be shipping on the 6th at the latest.

As soon as I have everything received, I'll update the post.
