For Sale 1978 J10 Golden Eagle on 43's

All the fluids are changed once a year, but that's pretty much all the maintenance it needs. When it was wheeled regular it would get a driveshaft ujoint at the front axle once a year just because. It has a new joint and yoke there currently.

For Sale 1978 J10 Golden Eagle on 43's

This is a build from @BUCKEYE PERFORMANCE INC. from back in the day. Truck has been all over the southeast and wheeled with the best of them. I bought it a couple years ago and just don't wheel it anymore. I would rather it pass onto someone that will wheel it like it needs. 1978 J10 Stock 360...

    D60 hub removal

Just to add, the RIGHT side of a sterling 10.5 has the same thread. The left is the same thread but left handed. I prefer the sterling spindle nut or 14 bolt set up over the dana ****.

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

This is my understanding as well. I have no real world knowledge of the 4340 joints but trust ECGS completely. I was just wondering if anyone had any real world experience. BTW, ECGS offers a lifetime warranty on their dana 60 shafts with these joints.

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

I'm interested to know some feedback on ECGS's 4340 u joints. They push them like that are pretty strong and are a great price. I just haven't heard much about them in the real world. https://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-1566318-ecgs-4340-dana-60-u-joint.html

    Show off your trailer

I was sitting in line at the scrap yard waiting to get reweighed got to thinking about that. I had the whole family in the truck that day. Best I could figure, it was probably close to a thousand pounds!

The Gremlin - Toyota beater truggy build

Finally got this thing together and got to try it out at Harlan over the weekend. Didn't get to do any valving on the front air shocks, left them as they are for now. The whole rig is night and day different. Performs better, rides 10x better. Love everything about it. Ran out of talent on...

    Trail Comms?

I picked up the mobile intercom setup from rugged radio. I abso-freeken-lutly love the intercoms. Once you have them, you'll want to use them in everything - even the jeep. I hook up a baofang radio to it and it works well. I also picked it up when they were having a massive sale. If I were...

    Enclosed trailer

As cheap as mini splits are, they are hard to beat. I've put a bunch of the Chinese units in and don't have much trouble from them. You should be able to find a 12kbtu unit with heat pump for around $700. After having one, I'll never go back for the noise alone. They are so much quieter...

    14 bolt steer axle conversion

There's a guy on NC4X4 ran a rear hp60 for years in a 22ret buggy on 39" reds. He was NOT very easy on it, and it was built as a typical hp60 would be (chromo shafts, good gears and lockers). It seemed to hold up well.

The Gremlin - Toyota beater truggy build

I have to admit, I have done nothing but park it in the garage. I did get all my parts in to finish it, but life got busy. Same story as most people, summer family vacation, getting kids ready for school, and my work gets stupid busy from now till probably the first of October. I promise I'll...

Throwing in the towel - my MarsFab buggy build

I would love to see some of the Warn Axon winches move over to some of the lightweight buggies.

    Just another XJ

I measured a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure with full hydro (steering box gone) you could fit a standard 28" aluminum radiator between the "frame rails". You would have to fab up mounts for it, but nothing too difficult.
