The drag link and track bar angles and lengths still need to match to prevent bumpsteer.

    Family Truckster LJ build

Love all the choices so far. Ironically my Silver LJ has the same scuff on the passenger rear corner. I have a narrowed 05 D60 and Sterling with elocker and 4.88s. I'm considering selliing them and building 9's due to using a 37-38" tire.

    French Tickler buggy

I have been looking at the BK Offroad for a high steer solution for my 05 up knuckles. I see that they machine the F450 knuckle to leave a key behind. It looks like there is no key in the F250 knuckle. I think it would be great if they could incorporate the key onto all the knuckles they...

    French Tickler buggy

I like the idea of milling the factory knuckle flat and bolting on a steer arm vrs the expense of purchasing new knuckles. The factory knuckles are very strong. We just need a high steer solution. I have noticed a couple of different versions of the style of steer arm you used. Most use the rear...

    NP205 doubler mounting

I would advise 3 mounts. Obviously 2 engine mounts and a single transmission/tcase mount. BUT!! I would build a solid mount bridging the transmission and the tcases and then use a single mount under it. This designs puts all the torque load through the engine mounts and doesn't break tail housings.

    TH350-Ford NP205 Shifters??

Freeze plug. The rails leak a little these days but so do I.

Full hydro steering, unequal length tie rods causing major handling problems?

I disagree with this as well. I have charged shocks from 0 psi/kpa to 200 psi-1378 kpa and the vehicle height will raise. The King engineer may have been trying to focus on coil-over spring function vs an air shock. I would have had to hear the conversion to agree differently.

    4 link front jeep tj

If you have straight lower links, I would not go below 40 degrees with the uppers. If your lowers are triangulated to 45 degrees, then your uppers could be straight (no triangulation) Think MINIMUM triangulation = the sum of the all the links of 40-40 degree total.

    4 link front jeep tj

Front 4 link is a stronger design due to the additional upper link. It also does not suffer from the axle moving laterally because there is no track/panhard bar. 4 link does require full hydraulic steering though. What type of steering do you have now?

Trying to get it mostly right the first time: A 5.9 Magnum and 46RE swapped, Tummy Tucked Daily Driven Jeep TJ

Results from car-part.com 1999 Explorer V6 4.10 ratio. I think these are open, easy to add a lunchbox locker. Birmingham Area Digging the build so far.

    Just another LJ Build

I did some searching and found where people are getting good results from writing the PCM with a similar tune from a 4x4. ( should be some in the HP Tuners repository) Then copying over your tables / settings. Then the transmission would shift correctly...

    Just another LJ Build

I am a novice on tuning but I don't see issues in the tune. The parameters in the shift tables seem logical. Is the VSS signal to the ECM good? How does it shift in 2wd? 4wd Hi? 37" tires correct?

Could you post a copy of the tune? The wiring should be correct (red 16 to ground when in 4lo)

    French Tickler buggy

Yes looking under trees for an engine now. Plan is 6.2 L9H, 6l80,Ford 205 with 32 spline input. Everything but the engine in hand. I've read / gather info that I can send GM sensor data to the Jeep PMC that feeds the dash. Then obviously E38 to run the GM stuff. I'll post whatever works out in...

Bebop you are progressing along at a rate the rest of us dream of. We are just trying to keep up at this point. My buggy dash is very simple. Samsung tablet, Torque Pro App, bluetooth OBD2 dongle in the diagnostic port. I can only monitor with mine, no outputs. The Holley dash look very nice...

    Enclosed trailer/Toy Hauler Conversion

What ever you do coating the floor is the first thing to do. Once a drop of oil hits the wood nothing is going to want to stick. That's where I'm at now. I may go vinyl or something to cover.

    14 bolt rear steer

I would center the pinion to be in line the the t-case output. That would be the proper setup. The shafts will be custom any way you go. Get good chromo 1550 shafts or RCVs. My vote for a 14 bolt rear steer would be 40 spline and a 1410 or 1480 yoke. You know yo want to have fun with it.

    Low Budget rear engine, 37"s

You guys are absolutely correct. I questioned the same thing during assembly. I spaced the caliper off the rotor to "center it" then tightened the tab hardware. Disassembled and welded in the red locations.
