Throwing in the towel - my MarsFab buggy build

Think I set mine up around 4-4.5" of shaft showing if I remember correctly. They're great when I'm actually on obstacles. Don't unload on vertical or off camber situations. They just bottom out occasionally when going between trails and try to get up a little speed.

Throwing in the towel - my MarsFab buggy build

Not really, might pull the air shocks and put more oil in them. I originally put in the exact amount of oil that Swayaway recommended but the shocks bottom out occasionally when riding between the trails. Seems to be common practice for people to fill the shocks all the way to about 3/4" from...

Throwing in the towel - my MarsFab buggy build

Pulled the interior out. Have a small leak between the transmission and the front t-case to fix. Gonna give it a good cleaning and a nut & bolt check so it will be ready for next year.

Not much to update. Buggy is performing great, I'm still learning where the limits are of what it can and can't do. No changes planned, just wanting to ride more. Hopefully going to Harlan in the spring.

Scott's Custom Off-road. It comes with the flanges but they are not drilled. You have to drill them to the pattern you need.

The @MarsFab buggy got it's photo in the new Mittler Brothers catalog.

Had a great trip to the Ranch. Buggy did absolutely amazing, not a single issue. Crawled everything I put a tire on. @MarsFab did a killer job on everything. Buggy is super comfortable to ride in all day and suspension works great.

@ridered3 it's parked in the shop and probably won't make another trip until spring. Not much free time right now between work and the little one.

Throwing in the towel - my MarsFab buggy build

First ride went great, no issues at all. Rig performed flawlessly and I couldn't be happier with it. It was just a few hours at Uwharrie National Forest, so no real obstacles to really test it out but it was still great to finally get it out and enjoy it. Time to start planning some trips for...

I don't have any talent for building either, that's why I had @MarsFab work his magic. Only thing I can take credit for is choosing the vinyl color.

Got the buggy 98% done and decided to take some glamour shots today since the weather was nice. Just want to give another huge thanks to Chris @MarsFab for building an absolutely killer buggy.

Throwing in the towel - my MarsFab buggy build

Not much progress lately, our daughter was born on August 11th so all my time has been spent with her. Hopefully in a few more weeks I'll be able to sneak off for a few hours and get a shakedown run at URE. Was able to get started on the vinyl this week. Got both of the large side panels and...

Huge thanks to @Dirkadirka875 for doing all the wiring on the buggy. Was able to drive it on and off the trailer when I picked it up. Here is a short video of how it sounds, not bad for a weepow buggy. I didn't want it to be loud or raspy. Been working on it as I have time since I got it...

Throwing in the towel - my MarsFab buggy build

Had a couple setbacks after adding fluids. Had a big transmission fluid leak that was my fault. Couple years ago when I changed from running a Sami t-case to the doubler setup, I pulled the tail housing off the transmission and I never replaced the gasket. And I just forgot about that after all...

Throwing in the towel - my MarsFab buggy build

Still slowly making some progress. Going to start adding fluids to everything this weekend. The vinyl for my panels came in this week. And the biggest hurdle left is the wiring but I've had some help and got part of it done. It's gonna get done eventually, believe me I'm dying to get it out on...

Hopefully it won't, it's a bit more out of the way than it looks in the picture. Plus the rear side panel should protect it some as well.

Plumbing is done, air shocks are rebuilt and installed. Front and intermediate driveshafts are installed and picking up my rear driveshaft from Oliver's tomorrow. Knuckles rebuilt and installed, RCV's are in. And best news of all, it's a roller. Even rolled it outside to get a good look at it.

Just a solid color on the wrap and I'm doing it myself. Figure a solid color would be easier to do myself since I've never done it before. 1 and 2 both apply to me as well.
