06 L33 Oil Consumption

I know this may have been brought up before on the LS engines oil consumption issues, but I have never seen anything on the L33. Does anyone on here know if the L33 was fitted with the driver side valve cover with the PCV issue?

All of the TSB's I've seen listed trucks starting in the 2007 model year...curious if yours might have been built in the same batch being an '06. Does yours have AFM?

It does not have AFM. It uses 2-3 quarts every oil change. No leaks anywhere, no smoke either. :dunno:

It's not much work to remove that driver side valve cover...so might as well pull it and see if you have the version that causes the problem. If so...pick up the new version and see if that fixes it.

I think the last time I looked that valve cover could be had for a little under $100 shipped.
